Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 21751
Amir bin Saad (may Allah have mercy on him) said that a man came to Saad (may Allah be pleased with him) to ask a question about the plague. Usama (may Allah be pleased with him) said, "I will tell you about it. I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) say that the plague is a punishment that Allah Almighty inflicted on the people before you (the Children of Israel). Sometimes it comes and sometimes it goes, so if it breaks out in a land, do not go there, and if it breaks out in a land where you are already present, then flee from it and get out."

عامر بن سعد رحمہ اللہ کہتے ہیں کہ ایک آدمی نے حضرت سعد رضی اللہ عنہ کے پاس طاعون کے حوالے سے سوال پوچھنے کے لئے آیا تو حضرت اسامہ رضی اللہ عنہ نے فرمایا اس کے متعلق میں تمہیں بتاتا ہوں، میں نے نبی کریم ﷺ کو یہ فرماتے ہوئے سنا ہے کہ طاعون ایک عذاب ہے جو اللہ تعالیٰ نے تم سے پہلے لوگوں (بنی اسرائیل) پر مسلط کیا تھا، کبھی یہ آجاتا ہے اور کبھی چلا جاتا ہے لہٰذا جس علاقے میں یہ وباء پھیلی ہوئی ہو تو تم اس علاقے میں مت جاؤ اور جب کسی علاقے میں یہ وباء پھیلے اور تم پہلے سے وہاں موجود ہو تو اس سے بھاگ کر وہاں سے نکلو مت۔
Aamir bin Saad rehmatullah alaih kehte hain ki aik aadmi ne Hazrat Saad razi Allah tala anhu ke paas taoon ke hawale se sawal puchne ke liye aaya to Hazrat Usama razi Allah tala anhu ne farmaya iske mutalliq main tumhen batata hun, main ne Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ko ye farmate huye suna hai ki taoon ek azab hai jo Allah tala ne tum se pehle logon (Bani Israeel) par musallat kiya tha, kabhi ye aata hai aur kabhi chala jata hai lihaza jis ilaqe mein ye waaba phaili hui ho to tum us ilaqe mein mat jao aur jab kisi ilaqe mein ye waaba phile aur tum pehle se wahan mojood ho to is se bhaag kar wahan se niklo mat.
حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ , عَنْ عَمْرٍو , عَنْ عَامِرِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ , قَالَ: جَاءَ رَجُلٌ يَسْأَلُ سَعْدًا عَنِ الطَّاعُونِ , فَقَالَ أُسَامَةُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ : أَنَا أُحَدِّثُكَ عَنْهُ , سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ: " إِنَّ هَذَا عَذَابٌ , أَوْ كَذَا أَرْسَلَهُ اللَّهُ عَلَى نَاسٍ قَبْلَكُمْ , أَوْ طَائِفَةٍ مِنْ بَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ , فَهُوَ يَجِيءُ أَحْيَانًا وَيَذْهَبُ أَحْيَانًا , فَإِذَا وَقَعَ بِأَرْضٍ فَلَا تَدْخُلُوا عَلَيْهِ , وَإِذَا وَقَعَ بِأَرْضٍ فَلَا تَخْرُجُوا فِرَارًا مِنْهُ" .
