Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 21833
It is narrated by Usama (may Allah be pleased with him) that on the night of Arafat, I was riding behind the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). The pace of the Holy Prophet's (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) ride was moderate. When we encountered a crowd of people, the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) would slow down his ride, and wherever the path was clear, he would speed up.

حضرت اسامہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ شب عرفہ کو میں نبی کریم ﷺ کا ردیف تھا، نبی کریم ﷺ کی رفتار درمیانی تھی جہاں لوگوں کا رش ہوتا تو نبی کریم ﷺ اپنی سواری کی رفتار ہلکی کرلیتے اور جہاں راستہ کھلا ہوا ملتا تو رفتار تیز کردیتے۔
Hazrat Usama razi Allah anhu se marvi hai ki Shab e Arafa ko main Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ka radif tha, Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ki raftar darmiyai thi jahan logon ka rush hota to Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) apni sawari ki raftar halki karlete aur jahan rasta khula hua milta to raftar tez karte.
حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ , حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامُ بْنُ عُرْوَةَ , عَنْ أَبِيهِ , قَالَ: كُنْتُ جَالِسًا عِنْدَ أُسَامَةَ , فَسُئِلَ عَنْ مَسِيرِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ حِينَ دَفَعَ مِنْ عَرَفَةَ , فَقَالَ: " كَانَ يَسِيرُ الْعَنَقَ فَإِذَا وَجَدَ فَجْوَةً نَصَّ" , يَعْنِي: فَوْقَ الْعَنَقِ.
