Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 21883
'Ammarah bin Khuzayma narrates from his uncle (who was a companion of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him) that once the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) bought a horse from a villager. He took the villager along to pay him the price. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was walking fast, and the villager was walking slowly. On the way, the villager met some people who started asking the price of the horse, because they did not know that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) had bought it. One man even offered a price for the horse that was higher than the price the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) had paid for it. So, the villager called out to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and said, "If you want to take this horse, then take it, otherwise I am going to sell it." Hearing this, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) stopped and said, "Didn't I buy this horse from you?" He said, "By Allah! I have not sold this horse to you." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "Why not? I myself have bought it from you." An argument broke out between the two, and people began to gather. The villager said, "Bring a witness who can testify that I have sold it to you." Every Muslim who came said, "Woe to you! What the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) is saying is the truth." Meanwhile, Khuzayma (may Allah be pleased with him) also arrived. He also heard the argument between the two. This time, when the villager demanded a witness, Khuzayma (may Allah be pleased with him) said, "I bear witness that you sold this horse to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him)." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) turned to Khuzayma (may Allah be pleased with him) and said, "On what basis are you testifying?" He submitted, "O Messenger of Allah! On the basis of you being truthful." So, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) considered his testimony to be equal to the testimony of two men.

عمارہ بن خزیمہ اپنے چچا سے " جو نبی کریم ﷺ کے صحابی رضی اللہ عنہ تھے " نقل کرتے ہیں کہ ایک مرتبہ نبی کریم ﷺ نے کسی دیہاتی سے ایک گھوڑا خریدا اور قیمت ادا کرنے کے لئے اسے اپنے ساتھ لے کر چلے نبی کریم ﷺ کی رفتار تیز تھی اور وہ دیہاتی سست روی سے چل رہا تھا راستے میں اس دیہاتی کو کچھ لوگ ملے جو اس سے گھوڑے کا بھاؤ تاؤ کرنے لگے کیونکہ انہیں تو یہ معلوم نہیں تھا کہ اسے نبی کریم ﷺ خرید چکے ہیں حتیٰ کہ ایک آدمی نے اسے گھوڑے کی قیمت لگائی وہ اس قیمت سے زیادہ تھی جس پر نبی کریم ﷺ نے اسے خریدا تھا چنانچہ اس دیہاتی نے نبی کریم ﷺ کو آواز دے کر کہا کہ اگر آپ نے یہ گھوڑا لینا ہے تو لے لیں ورنہ میں اسے بیچنے لگا ہوں نبی کریم ﷺ اس دیہاتی کی یہ آواز سن کر رک گئے اور فرمایا کیا میں نے تم سے یہ گھوڑا خرید نہیں لیا؟ اس نے کہا اللہ کی قسم! میں نے تو آپ کو یہ گھوڑا نہیں بیچا نبی کریم ﷺ نے فرمایا کیوں نہیں بیچا میں نے تو خود تم سے اسے خریدا ہے۔ دونوں میں اس بات پر تکرار ہونے لگی اور لوگ بھی جمع ہونے لگے وہ دیہاتی کہنے لگا کہ کوئی گواہ پیش کیجئے جو اس بات کی گواہی دے کہ اسے میں نے آپ کو فروخت کردیا ہے؟ جو مسلمان بھی آتا وہ اس سے یہی کہتا کم بخت! نبی کریم ﷺ تو کہتے ہی وہ بات ہیں جو برحق ہو، اسی دوران حضرت خزیمہ رضی اللہ عنہ بھی آگئے، انہوں نے بھی دونوں کی تکرار سنی، اس مرتبہ جب دیہاتی نے گواہ پیش کرنے کا مطالبہ کیا تو حضرت خزیمہ رضی اللہ عنہ نے فرمایا میں گواہی دیتا ہوں کہ تم نے یہ گھوڑا نبی کریم ﷺ کو بیچا تھا نبی کریم ﷺ حضرت خزیمہ رضی اللہ عنہ کی طرف متوجہ ہوئے اور فرمایا تم کیسے گواہی دے رہے ہو؟ عرض کیا یا رسول اللہ! آپ کے سچا ہونے کی بناء پر چنانچہ نبی کریم ﷺ نے ان کی گواہی کو دو آدمیوں کی گواہی کے برابر قرار دے دیا۔
Imarah bin Khuzaimah apne chacha se " jo Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ke sahabi raziallahu anhu the " naql karte hain ke ek martaba Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne kisi dehati se ek ghora khareeda aur qeemat ada karne ke liye use apne sath le kar chale Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ki raftar tez thi aur wo dehati sust ravi se chal raha tha raste mein us dehati ko kuch log mile jo us se ghore ka bhaav tao karne lage kyunki unhen to ye maloom nahin tha ke use Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) khareed chuke hain hatta ke ek aadmi ne use ghore ki qeemat lagai wo us qeemat se ziadah thi jis par Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne use khareeda tha chunancha us dehati ne Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ko aawaz de kar kaha ke agar aap ne ye ghora lena hai to le lein warna mein use bechne laga hun Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) us dehati ki ye aawaz sun kar ruk gaye aur farmaya kya mein ne tum se ye ghora khareed nahin liya? Usne kaha Allah ki qasam! mein ne to aap ko ye ghora nahin becha Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya kyun nahin becha mein ne to khud tum se use khareeda hai. Donon mein is baat par takrar hone lagi aur log bhi jama hone lage wo dehati kehne laga ke koi gawah pesh kijiye jo is baat ki gawahi de ke use mein ne aap ko farokht kar diya hai? Jo musalman bhi aata wo us se yahi kehta kam bakht! Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) to kehte hi wo baat hain jo barhaq ho, usi dauran Hazrat Khuzaimah raziallahu anhu bhi aa gaye, unhon ne bhi donon ki takrar suni, is martaba jab dehati ne gawah pesh karne ka mutalba kiya to Hazrat Khuzaimah raziallahu anhu ne farmaya mein gawahi deta hun ke tum ne ye ghora Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ko becha tha Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) Hazrat Khuzaimah raziallahu anhu ki taraf mutawajjah huye aur farmaya tum kaise gawahi de rahe ho? Arz kiya ya Rasulullah! aap ke sacha hone ki bina par chunancha Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne un ki gawahi ko do aadmiyon ki gawahi ke barabar qarar de diya.
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْيَمَانِ , حَدَّثَنَا شُعَيْبٌ , عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ , حَدَّثَنِي عُمَارَةُ بْنُ خُزَيْمَةَ الْأَنْصَارِيُّ , أَنَّ عَمَّهُ حَدَّثَهُ , وَهُوَ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ , أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ابْتَاعَ فَرَسًا مِنْ أَعْرَابِيٍّ , فَاسْتَتْبَعَهُ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لِيَقْضِيَهُ ثَمَنَ فَرَسِهِ , فَأَسْرَعَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ الْمَشْيَ , وَأَبْطَأَ الْأَعْرَابِيُّ , فَطَفِقَ رِجَالٌ يَعْتَرِضُونَ الْأَعْرَابِيَّ فَيُسَاوِمُونَ بِالْفَرَسِ , لَا يَشْعُرُونَ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ابْتَاعَهُ , حَتَّى زَادَ بَعْضُهُمْ الْأَعْرَابِيَّ فِي السَّوْمِ عَلَى ثَمَنِ الْفَرَسِ الَّذِي ابْتَاعَهُ بِهِ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ , فَنَادَى الْأَعْرَابِيُّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ , فَقَالَ: إِنْ كُنْتَ مُبْتَاعَا هَذَا الْفَرَسَ فَابْتَعْهُ , وَإِلَّا بِعْتُهُ , فَقَامَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ حِينَ سَمِعَ نِدَاءَ الْأَعْرَابِيِّ , فَقَالَ: " أَوَلَيْسَ قَدْ ابْتَعْتُهُ مِنْكَ؟" , قَالَ الْأَعْرَابِيُّ: لَا وَاللَّهِ مَا بِعْتُكَ , فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:" بَلَى قَدْ ابْتَعْتُهُ مِنْكَ" , فَطَفِقَ النَّاسُ يَلُوذُونَ بِالنَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَالْأَعْرَابِيِّ وَهُمَا يَتَرَاجَعَانِ , فَطَفِقَ الْأَعْرَابِيُّ يَقُولُ: هَلُمَّ شَهِيدًا يَشْهَدُ أَنِّي بَايَعْتُكَ , فَمَنْ جَاءَ مِنَ الْمُسْلِمِينَ , قَالَ لِلْأَعْرَابِيِّ: وَيْلَكَ أن النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَمْ يَكُنْ لِيَقُولَ إِلَّا حَقًّا , حَتَّى جَاءَ خُزَيْمَةُ , لِمُرَاجَعَةِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَمُرَاجَعَةِ الْأَعْرَابِيِّ , فَطَفِقَ الْأَعْرَابِيُّ يَقُولُ: هَلُمَّ شَهِيدًا يَشْهَدُ أَنِّي بَايَعْتُكَ , قَالَ خُزَيْمَةُ: أَنَا أَشْهَدُ أَنَّكَ قَدْ بَايَعْتَهُ , فَأَقْبَلَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَلَى خُزَيْمَةَ , فَقَالَ:" بِمَ تَشْهَدُ؟" , فَقَالَ: بِتَصْدِيقِكَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ , فَجَعَلَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ شَهَادَةَ خُزَيْمَةَ شَهَادَةَ رَجُلَيْنِ .
