The Musnad of Abdullah ibn al-Abbas ibn Abd al-Muttalib (may Allah be pleased with them both)

Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 2210
Abu Tufail said that he saw Muawiya ibn Abi Sufyan, may Allah be pleased with him, performing Tawaf of the Kaaba, and Abdullah ibn Abbas, may Allah be pleased with him, was on his left, and he [Abu Tufail] was behind them both, listening to their conversation. When Muawiya, may Allah be pleased with him, went to touch the Black Stone, Ibn Abbas, may Allah be pleased with them both, said, "The Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, did not touch these two corners [referring to the Yemeni corners, which they were about to reach]." Muawiya, may Allah be pleased with him, started to say, "Leave me alone, O Ibn Abbas, for no part of the House of Allah is insignificant or abandoned." But whenever Muawiya, may Allah be pleased with him, touched a corner [of the Kaaba], Ibn Abbas, may Allah be pleased with them both, repeated the same thing to him.

ابوالطفیل کہتے ہیں کہ میں نے سیدنا امیر معاویہ رضی اللہ عنہ کو خانہ کعبہ کا طواف کرتے ہوئے دیکھا، ان کی بائیں جانب سیدنا عبداللہ بن عباس رضی اللہ عنہ تھے اور ان دونوں کے پیچھے میں تھا اور ان دونوں حضرات کی باتیں سن رہا تھا، سیدنا امیر معاویہ رضی اللہ عنہ جب حجر اسود کا استلام کرنے لگے تو سیدنا ابن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما نے فرمایا کہ نبی ﷺ نے ان دو کونوں کا (جو اب آئیں گے) استلام نہیں کیا، سیدنا معاویہ رضی اللہ عنہ فرمانے لگے کہ ابن عباس! مجھے چھوڑ دیجئے، کیونکہ بیت اللہ کا کوئی حصہ بھی مہجور و متروک نہیں ہے، لیکن سیدنا امیر معاویہ رضی اللہ عنہ جب کسی رکن پر ہاتھ رکھتے تو سیدنا ابن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما ان سے برابر یہی کہتے رہے۔
Abu al Tufayl kehte hain ke maine Sayyiduna Ameer Muawiya (رضي الله تعالى عنه) ko Khanah Kaaba ka tawaf karte huye dekha, un ki bayen janib Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (رضي الله تعالى عنه) the aur in donon ke peeche main tha aur in donon hazrat ki baatein sun raha tha, Sayyiduna Ameer Muawiya (رضي الله تعالى عنه) jab Hajar Aswad ka istelam karne lage to Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a ne farmaya ke Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne in do kono ka (jo ab ayenge) istelam nahin kiya, Sayyiduna Muawiya (رضي الله تعالى عنه) farmane lage ke Ibn Abbas! mujhe chhor dijiye, kyunki Baitullah ka koi hissa bhi mahjoor o matrook nahin hai, lekin Sayyiduna Ameer Muawiya (رضي الله تعالى عنه) jab kisi rukun par hath rakhte to Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a unse barabar yahi kehte rahe.
حَدَّثَنَا حَسَنُ بْنُ مُوسَى ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو خَيْثَمَةَ ، عنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ خُثَيْمٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي الطُّفَيْلِ ، قَالَ: رَأَيْتُ مُعَاوِيَةَ يَطُوفُ بِالْبَيْتِ عَنْ يَسَارِهِ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عَبَّاسٍ، وَأَنَا أَتْلُوهُمَا فِي ظُهُورِهِمَا، أَسْمَعُ كَلَامَهُمَا، فَطَفِقَ مُعَاوِيَةُ يَسْتَلِمُ رُكْنَ الْحَجَرَ، فَقَالَ لَهُ عبد الله ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ :" إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَمْ يَسْتَلِمْ هَذَيْنِ الرُّكْنَيْنِ" , فَيَقُولُ مُعَاوِيَةُ دَعْنِي مِنْكَ يَا ابْنَ عَبَّاسٍ، فَإِنَّهُ لَيْسَ مِنْهَا شَيْءٌ مَهْجُورٌ , فَطَفِقَ ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ لَا يَزِيدُهُ، كُلَّمَا وَضَعَ يَدَهُ عَلَى شَيْءٍ مِنَ الرُّكْنَيْنِ، قَالَ لَهُ ذَلِكَ.
