Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 22679
It is narrated on the authority of Ubadah bin Samit (may Allah be pleased with him) that the people pledged allegiance to the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) on the condition that they would listen to him and obey him in all circumstances, whether in hardship or ease, in pleasure or displeasure. And that they would not dispute with the one who is entitled to a matter, and that they would speak the truth wherever they were, and that they would not care about the criticism of any critic in the matter of Allah.

حضرت عبادہ بن صامت رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ لوگوں نے نبی کریم ﷺ سے ہر تنگی اور آسانی اور چستی وسستی ہر حال میں بات سننے اور ماننے کی شرط پر بیعت کی تھی نیز یہ کہ کسی معاملے میں اس کے حقدار سے جھگڑا نہیں کریں گے جہاں بھی ہوں گے حق بات کہیں گے اور اللہ کے معاملے میں کسی ملامت کرنے والے کی ملامت کی پرواہ نہیں کریں گے۔
Hazrat Ubadah bin Samit (رضي الله تعالى عنه) se marvi hai ki logon ne Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) se har tangi aur asani aur chasti o susti har haal mein baat sunne aur manne ki shart par bai't ki thi neez yeh ki kisi mamle mein is ke haqdaar se jhagda nahin karenge jahan bhi honge haq baat kahenge aur Allah ke mamle mein kisi malamat karne wale ki malamat ki parwah nahin karenge.
حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ ، عَنْ يَحْيَى ، عَنْ عُبَادَةَ بْنِ الْوَلِيدِ بْنِ عُبَادَةَ بْنِ الصَّامِتِ ، سَمِعَهُ مِنْ جَدِّهِ، وَقَالَ سُفْيَانُ مَرَّةً , عَنْ جَدِّهِ عُبَادَةَ ، قَالَ: سُفْيَانُ: وَعُبَادَةُ نَقِيبٌ وهو من السبعة , " بَايَعْنَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَلَى السَّمْعِ وَالطَّاعَةِ فِي الْعُسْرِ وَالْيُسْرِ، وَالْمَنْشَطِ وَالْمَكْرَهِ، وَلَا نُنَازِعُ الْأَمْرَ أَهْلَهُ، نَقُولُ بِالْحَقِّ حَيْثُمَا كُنَّا، لَا نَخَافُ فِي اللَّهِ لَوْمَةَ لَائِمٍ" قَالَ سُفْيَانُ: زَادَ بَعْضُ النَّاسِ مَا لَمْ تَرَوْا كُفْرًا بَوَاحًا.
