The Musnad of Abdullah ibn al-Abbas ibn Abd al-Muttalib (may Allah be pleased with them both)

Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 2295
It is narrated on the authority of Sayyidina Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) that once the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) was praying when I and a boy from Banu Hashim, riding on our donkey, passed in front of him. We left him and he (the donkey) started eating grass etc. in front of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), but the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) did not finish his prayer. Similarly, two girls of Banu Abdul Muttalib came and clung to the knees of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), but the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) continued to pray.

سیدنا ابن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما سے مروی ہے کہ ایک مرتبہ نبی ﷺ نماز پڑھ رہے تھے کہ میں اور بنو ہاشم کا ایک لڑ کا اپنے گدھے پر سوار نبی ﷺ کے سامنے سے گزرے، ہم نے اسے چھوڑ دیا اور وہ نبی ﷺ کے آگے سے گھاس وغیرہ کھانے لگا لیکن نبی ﷺ نے نماز ختم نہیں کی، اسی طرح بنو عبدالمطلب کی دو بچیاں آکر نبی ﷺ کے گھٹنوں سے چمٹ گئیں، نبی ﷺ برابر نماز پڑھتے رہے۔
Sayyidna Ibn Abbas Raziallahu Anhuma se marvi hai ki ek martaba Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) namaz parh rahe the ki main aur Banu Hashim ka ek ladka apne gadhe par sawar Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ke samne se guzre, humne use chhod diya aur wo Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ke aage se ghaas waghaira khane laga lekin Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne namaz khatam nahin ki, isi tarah Banu Abdulmuttalib ki do bachiyan aakar Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ke ghutnon se chimat gain, Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) barabar namaz parhte rahe.
حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ مُرَّةَ ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ الْجَزَّارِ ، أَنَّ ابْنَ عَبَّاسٍ ، قَالَ:" مَرَرْتُ أَنَا وَغُلَامٌ مِنْ بَنِي هَاشِمٍ عَلَى حِمَارٍ، وَتَرَكْنَاهُ يَأْكُلُ مِنْ بَقْلٍ بَيْنَ يَدَيْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، فَلَمْ يَنْصَرِفْ، وَجَاءَتْ جَارِيَتَانِ تَشْتَدَّانِ، حَتَّى أَخَذَتَا بِرُكْبَتَيْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، فَلَمْ يَنْصَرِفْ".
