Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 23739
It is narrated on the authority of Salman Farsi (may Allah be pleased with him) that he arrived near a city and said to his companions, "Leave me so that I may present the invitation to them in the same way I saw the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) inviting people." Then he said to the people of the city, "I was one of you. Allah guided me to Islam. If you accept Islam, you will have the same rights as we have. If you refuse, then pay Jizya, and in that case, you will be subdued. If you refuse even that, then we will fight you on equal terms. Indeed, Allah does not like the treacherous." They continued this for three days. Then, on the fourth day, they advanced towards the city with the people and conquered it.

حضرت سلمان رضی اللہ عنہ کے حوالے سے مروی ہے کہ وہ ایک شہر کے قریب پہنچے تو اپنے ساتھیوں سے فرمایا کہ مجھے چھوڑ دو تاکہ میں ان کے سامنے اسی طرح دعوت پیش کر دوں جیسے میں نے نبی کریم ﷺ کو دعوت دیتے ہوئے دیکھا ہے پھر انہوں نے اہل شہر سے فرمایا کہ میں تم ہی میں کا ایک فرد تھا اللہ نے مجھے اسلام کی ہدایت دے دی اگر تم بھی اسلام قبول کرلو تو تمہارے وہی حقوق ہوں گے جو ہمارے ہیں اگر تم اس سے انکار کرتے ہو جزیہ ادا کرو اس حال میں تم ذلیل ہو گے اگر تم اس سے بھی انکار کرتے ہو تو ہم تمہیں برابر کا جواب دیں گے بیشک اللہ خیانت کرنے والوں کو پسند نہیں فرماتا " تین دن تک وہ اسی طرح کرتے رہے پھر جب چوتھا دن ہوا تو وہ لوگوں کو لے کر اس شہر کی طرف بڑھے اور اسے فتح کرلیا۔
Hazrat Salman (رضي الله تعالى عنه) ke hawale se marvi hai ki woh aik shehar ke qareeb pahunche to apne saathiyon se farmaya ki mujhe chhor do takay main in ke samne isi tarah dawat pesh kar dun jaise main ne Nabi Kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ko dawat dete huye dekha hai phir unhon ne ahl e shehar se farmaya ki main tum hi main ka aik fard tha Allah ne mujhe Islam ki hidayat de di agar tum bhi Islam qubool karlo to tumhare wohi huqooq honge jo hamare hain agar tum is se inkar karte ho jizya ada karo is haal main tum zaleel ho gay agar tum is se bhi inkar karte ho to hum tumhen barabar ka jawab denge beshak Allah khiyanat karne walon ko pasand nahin farmata teen din tak woh isi tarah karte rahe phir jab chautha din hua to woh logon ko le kar is shehar ki taraf barhe aur ise fatah karliya.
حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَاصِمٍ ، عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ السَّائِبِ ، عَنْ أَبِي الْبَخْتَرِيِّ ، قَالَ: حَاصَرَ سَلْمَانُ الْفَارِسِيُّ قَصْرًا مِنْ قُصُورِ فَارِسَ، فَقَالَ لَهُ أَصْحَابُهُ: يَا أَبَا عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، أَلَا تَنْهَدُ إِلَيْهِمْ؟ قَالَ: لَا، حَتَّى أَدْعُوَهُمْ كَمَا كَانَ يَدْعُوهُمْ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، قَالَ: فَأَتَاهُمْ فَكَلَّمَهُمْ، قَالَ:" أَنَا رَجُلٌ فَارِسِيٌّ وَأَنَا مِنْكُمْ، وَالْعَرَبُ يُطِيعُونِي، فَاخْتَارُوا إِحْدَى ثَلَاثٍ: إِمَّا أَنْ تُسْلِمُوا، وَإِمَّا أَنْ تُعْطُوا الْجِزْيَةَ عَنْ يَدٍ وَأَنْتُمْ صَاغِرُونَ غَيْرُ مَحْمُودِينَ، وَإِمَّا أَنْ نُنَابِذَكُمْ فَنُقَاتِلَكُمْ" ، قَالُوا: لَا نُسْلِمُ، وَلَا نُعْطِي الْجِزْيَةَ، وَلَكِنَّا نُنَابِذُكُمْ، فَرَجَعَ سَلْمَانُ إِلَى أَصْحَابِهِ، قَالُوا: أَلَا تَنْهَدُ إِلَيْهِمْ؟ قَالَ: لَا، قَالَ: فَدَعَاهُمْ ثَلَاثَةَ أَيَّامٍ فَلَمْ يَقْبَلُوا، فَقَاتَلَهُمْ فَفَتَحَهَا.
