Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 23847
It was narrated from Sa'd bin 'Abadah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "This tribe of Ansar is a test, meaning love for them is a sign of faith and hatred for them is a sign of hypocrisy."

حضرت سعد بن عبادہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ نبی کریم ﷺ نے ارشاد فرمایا انصار کا یہ قبیلہ ایک آزمائش ہے یعنی ان سے محبت ایمان کی علامت ہے اور ان سے نفرت نفاق کی علامت ہے۔
Hazrat Saad bin Ubadah RA se marvi hai ke Nabi Kareem SAW ne irshad farmaya Ansar ka ye qabeela ek azmaish hai yani un se mohabbat imaan ki alamat hai aur un se nafrat nifaaq ki alamat hai.
حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبِي شُمَيْلَةَ ، حَدَّثَنِي رَجُلٌ ، عَنْ سَعِيدٍ الصَّرَّافِ أَوْ هُوَ سَعِيدٌ الصَّرَّافُ، عَنْ إِسْحَاقَ بْنِ سَعْدِ بْنِ عُبَادَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " إِنَّ هَذَا الْحَيَّ مِنَ الْأَنْصَارِ مِحْنَةٌ، حُبُّهُمْ إِيمَانٌ وَبُغْضُهُمْ نِفَاقٌ" ، قَالَ عَفَّانُ: وَقَدْ حَدَّثَنَا بِهِ مَرَّةً وَلَيْسَ فِيهِ شَكٌّ، أَمَلَّهُ عَلَيَّ أَوَّلًا عَلَى الصِّحَّةِ.
