Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 24025
It is narrated on the authority of Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that I never saw the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) offering Chast prayer except when he (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) would return from a journey, he would offer two rak'ahs.

حضرت عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا سے مروی ہے کہ میں نے نبی ﷺ کو چاشت کی نماز پڑھتے ہوئے کبھی نہیں دیکھا، الاّ یہ کہ نبی ﷺ کسی سفر سے واپس آئے ہوں تو دو رکعتیں پڑھ لیتے تھے۔

حَدَّثَنَا مُعْتَمِرٌ ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ خَالِدًا ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ شَقِيقٍ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ، قَالَت: " مَا رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُصَلِّ الضُّحَى إِلَّا أَنْ يَقْدَمَ مِنْ سَفَرٍ فَيُصَلِّي رَكْعَتَيْنِ" .
