Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 24092
It is narrated on the authority of Aisha Radi Allahu Anha that the Prophet صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم said: It is not lawful for a woman who believes in Allah and the Last Day to mourn for any dead person other than her husband for more than three days.

حضرت عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا سے مروی ہے کہ نبی ﷺ نے ارشاد فرمایا جو عورت اللہ پر اور یوم آخرت پر ایمان رکھتی ہو، شوہر کے علاوہ کسی اور میت پر اس کیلئے تین دن سے زیادہ سوگ منانا حلال نہیں ہے۔
Hazrat Ayesha Radi Allaho Anha se marvi hai ki Nabi Sallallaho Alaihi Wasallam ne irshad farmaya jo aurat Allah par aur Yaum Aakhirat par imaan rakhti ho shohar ke ilawa kisi aur mayyat par uske liye teen din se zyada sog manana halal nahi hai.
حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ ، حَدَّثَنَا الزُّهْرِيُّ ، عَنْ عُرْوَةَ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ، أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: " لَا يَحِلُّ لِامْرَأَةٍ تُؤْمِنُ بِاللَّهِ وَالْيَوْمِ الْآخِرِ تُحِدُّ عَلَى مَيِّتٍ فَوْقَ ثَلَاثٍ إِلَّا عَلَى زَوْجٍ" .
