Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 24103
Ubaidullah says that once we were in the service of Ayesha (may Allah be pleased with her) and we submitted to her, "O Mother of the Believers! Tell us about the last illness of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him)." She said, "When the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) fell ill, he started breathing heavily. We compared his breathing to the breathing of a person who eats raisins. It was the Prophet's habit to visit his wives. When the illness intensified, the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) sought permission from his wives to spend the days of his illness in my house. All of them gave permission. So, the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) came out of there, supported by Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) and another man. At that time, the Prophet's (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) blessed feet were dragging on the ground." Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) asked Ubaidullah, "Didn't Ayesha (may Allah be pleased with her) tell you who the other man was?" He said, "No." So, Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) said, "He was Ali (may Allah be pleased with him)."

عبیداللہ کہتے ہیں کہ ایک مرتبہ ہم لوگ حضرت عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا کی خدمت میں حاضر ہوئے اور ان سے عرض کیا کہ اے ام المومنین! ہمیں نبی ﷺ کے مرض الوفات کے متعلق بتایئے، انہوں نے فرمایا کہ نبی ﷺ جب بیمار ہوئے تو نبی ﷺ کو سانس آنے لگا، ہم نے اسے اس شخص کے سانس سے تشبیہ دی جو کشمش کھاتا ہے اور نبی کا معمول ازواجِ مطہرات کے پاس جانے کا تھا، جب بیماری بڑھنے لگی تو نبی ﷺ نے اپنی ازواج مطہرات سے بیماری کے ایام میرے گھر میں گذارنے کی اجازت طلب کی تو سب نے اجازت دے دی، چنانچہ نبی ﷺ حضرت عباس رضی اللہ عنہ اور ایک دوسرے آدمی کے سہارے پر وہاں سے نکلے، اس وقت نبی ﷺ کے پاؤں مبارک زمین پر گھستے ہوئے جا رہے تھے۔ حضرت ابن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما نے عبیداللہ سے پوچھا کہ کیا حضرت عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا نے آپ کو دوسرے آدمی کے متعلق نہیں بتایا کہ وہ کون تھا؟ انہوں نے کہا نہیں تو حضرت ابن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما نے فرمایا وہ حضرت علی رضی اللہ عنہ تھے۔
Ubaidullah kahte hain ki aik martaba hum log Hazrat Ayesha ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) ا) ki khidmat mein hazir hue aur unse arz kiya ki aye Ummulmomineen! Hamein Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ke marz-e-wafat ke mutalliq bataiye, unhon ne farmaya ki Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) jab bimar hue to Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ko saans aane laga, humne use us shakhs ke saans se tashbeeh di jo kishmish khata hai aur Nabi ka mamul azwaj-e-mutahharaat ke paas jaane ka tha, jab bimari badhne lagi to Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne apni azwaj-e-mutahharaat se bimari ke ayam mere ghar mein guzarne ki ijazat talab ki to sab ne ijazat de di, chunancha Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) Hazrat Abbas (رضي الله تعالى عنه) aur ek dusre aadmi ke sahaare par wahan se nikle, us waqt Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ke paon mubarak zameen par ghaste hue ja rahe the. Hazrat Ibn Abbas ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a ne Ubaidullah se puchha ki kya Hazrat Ayesha ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) ا) ne aap ko dusre aadmi ke mutalliq nahin bataya ki woh kaun tha? Unhon ne kaha nahin to Hazrat Ibn Abbas ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a ne farmaya woh Hazrat Ali (رضي الله تعالى عنه) the.
حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ، قَالَ سُفْيَانُ سَمِعْتُ مِنْهُ حَدِيثًا طَوِيلًا لَيْسَ أَحْفَظُهُ مِنْ أَوَّلِهِ إِلَّا قَلِيلًا دَخَلْنَا عَلَى عَائِشَةَ، فَقُلْنَا: يَا أُمَّ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ، أَخْبِرِينَا عَنْ مَرَضِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، قَالَتْ: " اشْتَكَى، فَجَعَلَ يَنْفُثُ، فَجَعَلْنَا نُشَبِّهُ نَفْثَهُ نَفْثَ آكِلِ الزَّبِيبِ، وَكَانَ يَدُورُ عَلَى نِسَائِه، فَلَمَّا اشْتَكَى شَكْوَاهُ، اسْتَأْذَنَهُنَّ أَنَّ يَكُونَ فِي بَيْتِ عَائِشَةَ وَيَدُرْنَ عَلَيْهِ، فَأَذِنَّ لَهُ، فَدَخَلَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بَيْنَ رَجُلَيْنِ مُتَّكِئًا عَلَيْهِمَا أَحَدُهُمَا عَبَّاسٌ، وَرِجْلَاهُ تَخُطَّانِ فِي الْأَرْضِ . قَالَ ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ أَفَمَا أَخْبَرَتْكَ مَنْ الْآخَرُ؟ قَالَ: لَا، قَالَ: هُوَ عَلِي".
