Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 24202
Ghadif bin Harith said, "I asked Aisha, may Allah be pleased with her, 'Did the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) perform ghusl (ritual bath) from janabah (major ritual impurity) in the beginning of the night or at the end?' She said, 'Sometimes he would perform ghusl in the beginning of the night and sometimes at the end.' Upon that, I said 'Allahu Akbar (Allah is the Greatest), praise be to Allah who has kept this matter spacious.' Then I asked, 'Did the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) pray witr in the beginning of the night or at the end?' She said, 'Sometimes he would pray it in the beginning of the night and sometimes at the end.' Again I said, 'Allahu Akbar, praise be to Allah who has kept this matter spacious.' Then I asked, 'Did the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) recite aloud or silently?' She said, 'Sometimes he would recite aloud and sometimes silently.' Again I said, 'Allahu Akbar, praise be to Allah who has kept this matter spacious as well.'"

غضیف بن حارث کہتے ہیں کہ میں نے حضرت عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا سے پوچھا یہ بتایئے کہ نبی ﷺ غسل جنابت رات کے ابتدائی حصے میں کرتے تھے یا آخری حصے میں؟ انہوں نے فرمایا کبھی رات کے ابتدائی حصے میں غسل فرمالیتے تھے اور کبھی رات کے آخری حصے میں، اس پر میں نے اللہ اکبر کہہ کر عرض کیا شکر ہے، اس اللہ کا جس نے اس معاملے میں وسعت رکھی ہے، پھر میں نے پوچھا یہ بتایئے کہ نبی ﷺ رات کے اول حصے میں وتر پڑھتے یا آخر میں؟ انہوں نے فرمایا کبھی رات کے ابتدائی حصے میں وتر پڑھ لیتے تھے اور کبھی آخری حصے میں، میں نے پھر اللہ اکبر کہہ کر عرض کیا شکر ہے اس اللہ کا جس نے اس معاملے میں وسعت رکھی، پھر میں پوچھا یہ بتایئے کہ نبی ﷺ جہری قرأت فرماتے تھے یا سری؟ انہوں نے فرمایا کبھی جہری اور کبھی سری، میں نے پھر اللہ اکبر کہہ کر عرض کیا اس اللہ کا شکر ہے جس نے اس معاملے میں بھی وسعت رکھی ہے۔
Ghazeef bin Haris kahte hain ke maine Hazrat Ayesha ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) ا) se poocha ye bataiye ke Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ghusl janabat raat ke ibtidai hisse mein karte the ya aakhri hisse mein? Unhon ne farmaya kabhi raat ke ibtidai hisse mein ghusl farmalite the aur kabhi raat ke aakhri hisse mein, is par maine Allah Akbar kah kar arz kiya shukar hai, is Allah ka jis ne is mamle mein wusat rakhi hai, phir maine poocha ye bataiye ke Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) raat ke awal hisse mein witr padhte ya akhir mein? Unhon ne farmaya kabhi raat ke ibtidai hisse mein witr padh lete the aur kabhi aakhri hisse mein, maine phir Allah Akbar kah kar arz kiya shukar hai is Allah ka jis ne is mamle mein wusat rakhi, phir main poocha ye bataiye ke Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) jahri qirat farmate the ya sirri? Unhon ne farmaya kabhi jahri aur kabhi sirri, maine phir Allah Akbar kah kar arz kiya is Allah ka shukar hai jis ne is mamle mein bhi wusat rakhi hai.
حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا بُرْدُ بْنُ سِنَانٍ ، عَنْ عُبَادَةَ بْنِ نُسَيٍّ ، عَنْ غُضَيْفِ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ ، قَالَ: قُلْتُ: لِعَائِشَةَ أَرَأَيْتِ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ يَغْتَسِلُ مِنَ الْجَنَابَةِ فِي أَوَّلِ اللَّيْلِ، أَوْ فِي آخِرِهِ؟ قَالَتْ: " رُبَّمَا اغْتَسَلَ فِي أَوَّلِ اللَّيْلِ، وَرُبَّمَا اغْتَسَلَ فِي آخِرِهِ"، قُلْتُ: اللَّهُ أَكْبَرُ، الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذِي جَعَلَ فِي الْأَمْرِ سَعَةً، قُلْتُ: أَرَأَيْتِ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ يُوتِرُ فِي أَوَّلِ اللَّيْلِ، أَوْ فِي آخِرِهِ؟ قَالَتْ:" رُبَّمَا أَوْتَرَ فِي أَوَّلِ اللَّيْلِ، وَرُبَّمَا أَوْتَرَ فِي آخِرِهِ"، قُلْتُ: اللَّهُ أَكْبَرُ، الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذِي جَعَلَ فِي الْأَمْرِ سَعَةً، قُلْتُ: أَرَأَيْتِ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ يَجْهَرُ بِالْقُرْآنِ، أَوْ يُخَافِتُ بِهِ؟ قَالَتْ:" رُبَّمَا جَهَرَ بِهِ، وَرُبَّمَا خَافَتَ"، قُلْتُ: اللَّهُ أَكْبَرُ، الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذِي جَعَلَ فِي الْأَمْرِ سَعَةً .
