ومن مسند بني هاشم
The Musnad of Abdullah ibn al-Abbas ibn Abd al-Muttalib (may Allah be pleased with them both)

Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 2423
Once, Walid sent a man to Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them) to ask about the blessed practice of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) on the occasion of Salat al-Istisqa (prayer for rain). Ibn Abbas replied, "Once, the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) came out (to lead the Salat al-Istisqa) in a state of humility and humbleness. He (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) was walking slowly and with dignity, without any adornment. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) led the people in two rak'ahs like he used to lead on Eid."

ایک مرتبہ ولید نے ایک آدمی کو سیدنا ابن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما کے پاس نماز استسقاء کے موقع پر نبی ﷺ کا معمول مبارک پوچھنے کے لئے بھیجا تو انہوں نے فرمایا کہ ایک مرتبہ نبی ﷺ اس طرح (نماز استسقاء پڑھانے کے لئے) باہر نکلے کہ آپ ﷺ خشوع و خضوع اور عاجزی وزاری کرتے ہوئے، (کسی قسم کی زیب و زینت کے بغیر، آہستگی اور وقار کے ساتھ چل رہے تھے) آپ ﷺ نے لوگوں کو دو رکعتیں پڑھائیں جیسے عید میں پڑھاتے تھے۔
aik martaba walid ne aik aadmi ko sayyidna ibn abbas razi allaho anhuma ke pass namaz istisqa ke mauqe par nabi sallallaho alaihi wasallam ka mamul mubarak pochne ke liye bheja to unhon ne farmaya ke aik martaba nabi sallallaho alaihi wasallam is tarah namaz istisqa parhane ke liye bahar nikle ke aap sallallaho alaihi wasallam khushoo o khuzoo aur aajzi o zari karte huye kisi qisam ki zeb o zینت ke baghair ahista aur waqar ke sath chal rahe the aap sallallaho alaihi wasallam ne logon ko do rakaten parhaen jaise eid men parhate the
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو سَعِيدٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ رَبِيعَةَ بْنِ هِشَامِ بْنِ إِسْحَاقَ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ كِنَانَةَ ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ جَدِّي هِشَامَ بْنَ إِسْحَاقَ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، يُحَدِّثُ , عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، قَالَ: بَعَثَ الْوَلِيدُ، يَسْأَلُ ابْنَ عَبَّاسٍ ، كَيْفَ صَنَعَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي الِاسْتِسْقَاءِ؟ فَقَالَ:" خَرَجَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مُتَبَذِّلًا مُتَخَشِّعًا، فَأَتَى الْمُصَلَّى فَصَلَّى رَكْعَتَيْنِ كَمَا يُصَلِّي فِي الْفِطْرِ وَالْأَضْحَى".
