Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 24232
It is narrated on the authority of Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that sometimes a month or two would pass over the family of Muhammad (peace be upon him) in which they would not light a fire, and they would have nothing but dates and water, except that some meat would come from somewhere.

حضرت عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا سے مروی ہے کہ بعض اوقات آل محمد ﷺ پر مہینہ مہینہ ایسا گذر جاتا تھا جس میں وہ آگ تک نہیں جلاتے تھے اور ان کے پاس کھجور اور پانی کے علاوہ کچھ نہیں ہوتا تھا، الاّ یہ کہیں سے گوشت آجائے۔
Hazrat Ayesha ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) ا) se marvi hai kih baaz auqaat Aal e Muhammad (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) par mahina mahina aisa guzar jata tha jis mein woh aag tak nahin jalate thay aur unke paas khajoor aur pani ke ilawa kuchh nahin hota tha, illa yeh kahin se gosht aajae.
حَدَّثَنَا حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى ، حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامٌ ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنِي أَبِي ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ، قَالَت: " كَانَ يَأْتِي عَلَى آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ الشَّهْرُ مَا يُوقِدُونَ فِيهِ نَارًا، لَيْسَ إِلَّا التَّمْرُ وَالْمَاءُ إِلَّا أَنْ نُؤْتَى بِاللَّحْمِ" .
