Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 24239
It is narrated on the authority of Aisha (RA) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) used to pray thirteen rak'ahs at night and would make the fifth pair witr and he would sit on it and finish the prayer with salam.

حضرت عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا سے مروی ہے کہ نبی ﷺ رات کو تیرہ رکعتیں پڑھتے تھے اور پانچویں جوڑے پر وتر بناتے تھے اور اسی پر بیٹھ کر سلام پھیرتے تھے۔
Hazrat Ayesha ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) ا) se marvi hai ki Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) raat ko terah rakatain parhte thay aur panchwen jode par witr banate thay aur isi par baith kar salam pherte thay.
حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى ، عَنْ هِشَامٍ ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ" كَانَ يُصَلِّي مِنَ اللَّيْلِ ثَلَاثَ عَشْرَةَ رَكْعَةً، يُوتِرُ بِخَمْسٍ، لَا يَجْلِسُ إِلَّا فِي الْخَامِسَةِ، فَيُسَلِّمُ" .
