Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 24257
It is narrated on the authority of Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that the details of the Prophet's (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) Ghusl (ritual bath after sexual intercourse) are as follows: The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) would first wash both of his hands. Then he would perform ablution like that for prayer. Then he would rub the roots of his hair (with water) and when he was sure that (the water) had reached the skin, he would pour water over himself three times. Then he would pour water over the rest of his body.

حضرت عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا سے مروی ہے کہ نبی ﷺ کے غسل جنابت کی تفصیل یوں مروی ہے کہ نبی ﷺ سب سے پہلے اپنے دونوں ہاتھوں کو دھوتے تھے، پھر نماز جیسا وضو فرماتے تھے، پھر سر کے بالوں کی جڑوں کا خلال فرماتے تھے اور جب یقین ہوجاتا کہ کھال تک ہاتھ پہنچ گیا ہے، تو تین مرتبہ پانی بہاتے، پھر باقی جسم پر پانی ڈالتے تھے۔

حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى وَوَكِيعٌ ، عَنْ هِشَامٍ الْمَعْنَى، قَالَ: يَحْيَى، أَخْبَرَنِي أَبِي ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَتْنِي عَائِشَةُ ، عَنْ غُسْلِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مِنَ الْجَنَابَةِ، قَالَتْ: " كَانَ يَبْدَأُ بِيَدَيْهِ فَيَغْسِلُهُمَا"، قَالَ وَكِيعٌ: يَغْسِلُ كَفَّيْهِ ثَلَاثًا،" ثُمَّ يَتَوَضَّأُ وُضُوءَهُ لِلصَّلَاةِ، ثُمَّ يُخَلِّلُ أُصُولَ شَعَرِ رَأْسِهِ، حَتَّى إِذَا ظَنَّ أَنَّهُ قَدْ اسْتَبْرَأَ الْبَشَرَةَ، اغْتَرَفَ ثَلَاثَ غَرَفَاتٍ، فَصَبَّهُنَّ عَلَى رَأْسِهِ، ثُمَّ أَفَاضَ عَلَى سَائِرِ جَسَدِهِ" ، قَالَ ابْنُ نُمَيْرٍ: غَرَفَ بِيَدَيْهِ مِلْءَ كَفَّيْهِ ثَلَاثًا.
