Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 24322
It is narrated on the authority of Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that we had a mat which we used to spread during the day and use it as a blanket at night. Once, at night, the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) was praying when the people of the mosque found out. So, the next day, they mentioned it to the people. Consequently, the next night, many people gathered. Upon seeing this, the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, "Commit yourselves to as much of good deeds as you can bear, for Allah does not get tired (of rewarding) and the most beloved deeds to Allah and His Messenger (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) are those that are done regularly."

حضرت عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا سے مروی ہے کہ ہمارے پاس ایک چٹائی تھی جسے دن کو ہم لوگ بچھا لیا کرتے تھے اور رات کے وقت اسی کو اوڑھ لیتے تھے، ایک مرتبہ رات کو نبی ﷺ نماز پڑھ رہے تھے، مسجد والوں کو پتہ چلا تو انہوں نے اگلے دن لوگوں سے اس کا ذکر کردیا، چنانچہ اگلی رات کو بہت سے لوگ جمع ہوگئے، نبی ﷺ نے یہ دیکھ کر فرمایا اپنے آپ کو اتنے اعمال کا مکلف بناؤ جتنے کی تم طاقت رکھتے ہو، کیونکہ اللہ تعالیٰ تو اس پر ثابت قدم رہتے اور نبی ﷺ کے نزدیک سے زیادہ پسندیدہ عمل وہ ہوتا تھا جو دائمی ہوتا۔
Hazrat Ayesha ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) ا) se marvi hai ki humare pas ek chatai thi jise din ko hum log bichha liya karte the aur raat ke waqt isi ko odh liya karte the, ek martaba raat ko Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) namaz parh rahe the, masjid walon ko pata chala to unhon ne agle din logon se iska zikar kar diya, chunancha agali raat ko bahut se log jama hogaye, Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne ye dekh kar farmaya apne aap ko itne amal ka mukallaf banao jitne ki tum taqat rakhte ho, kyunki Allah Ta'ala to is par sabit qadam rahte aur Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ke nazdeek se zyada pasandida amal wo hota tha jo daimi hota.
حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ نُمَيْرٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدٌ . وَيَزِيدُ ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدٌ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ، قَالَت: كَانَتْ لَنَا حَصِيرَةٌ نَبْسُطُهَا بِالنَّهَارِ وَنَتَحَجَّرُهَا عَلَيْنَا بِاللَّيْلِ، فَصَلَّى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَيْلَةً، فَسَمِعَ أَهْلُ الْمَسْجِدِ صَلَاتَهُ، فَأَصْبَحُوا، فَذَكَرُوا ذَلِكَ لِلنَّاسِ، فَكَثُرَ النَّاسُ اللَّيْلَةَ الثَّانِيَةَ، فَاطَّلَعَ عَلَيْهِمْ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ: " اكْلَفُوا مِنَ الْأَعْمَالِ مَا تُطِيقُونَ، فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ لَا يَمَلُّ حَتَّى تَمَلُّوا" ، وَقَالَتْ عَائِشَةُ: كَانَ أَحَبُّ الْأَعْمَالِ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَدْوَمَهَا وَإِنْ قَلَّ، وَكَانَ إِذَا صَلَّى صَلَاةً أَثْبَتَهَا، وَقَالَ يَزِيدُ حَصِيرَةٌ نَبْسُطُهَا بِالنَّهَارِ، وَنَحْتَجِرُهَا بِاللَّيْلِ.
