Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 24380
Urwah (may Allah have mercy on him) used to say to Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her), "My mother! I am not surprised at your knowledge of jurisprudence, because I can say that you are the wife of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and the daughter of Abu Bakr As-Siddiq (may Allah be pleased with him). I am also not surprised at your knowledge of poetry and the days of ignorance, because I can say that you are the daughter of Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him), who was the most knowledgeable of all people. What surprises me is your knowledge of medicine! How, where and from whom did you acquire it?" She placed her hand on his shoulder and said, "O Urwah! The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) became ill in the last days of his life. Delegations of Arabs used to come to the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) from all sides, they used to prescribe various things for the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), and I used to treat the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) with them. That is where I learned these things."

عروہ رحمہ اللہ حضرت عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا سے کہتے تھے کہ اماں جان! مجھے آپ کی فقاہت پر تعجب نہیں ہوتا کیونکہ میں یہ کہہ سکتا ہوں کہ آپ نبی ﷺ کی بیوی اور حضرت صدیق اکبر رضی اللہ عنہ کی بیٹی ہیں، مجھے آپ کے شعر اور ایام ناس کے علم پر بھی تعجب نہیں ہوتا کیونکہ میں کہہ سکتا ہوں کہ آپ حضرت ابوبکر رضی اللہ عنہ کی بیٹی ہیں جو کہ تمام لوگوں میں سب سے بڑے عالم تھے، مجھے جو تعجب ہوتا ہے وہ آپ کے علم طب پر ہوتا ہے کہ وہ آپ کو کیسے، کہاں سے اور کیونکر حاصل ہوا؟ انہوں نے ان کے کندھے پر ہاتھ مار کر کہا اے عروہ! نبی ﷺ اپنی زندگی کے آخری ایام میں بیمار ہوگئے تھے، نبی ﷺ کے پاس ہر طرف سے وفود عرب آتے تھے، وہ نبی ﷺ کے لئے مختلف قسم کی چیزیں تشخیص کرتے تھے اور میں ان سے نبی ﷺ کا علاج کرتی تھی، بس وہیں سے یہ چیزیں میں نے حاصل کرلیں۔
Urwa rahmatullah Hazrat Ayesha ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) ا) se kehte thay ke ama jaan! mujhe aap ki fiqahat par taajjub nahin hota kyunki main yeh keh sakta hun ke aap Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ki biwi aur Hazrat Siddique Akbar (رضي الله تعالى عنه) ki beti hain, mujhe aap ke sher aur ayaam nas ke ilm par bhi taajjub nahin hota kyunki main keh sakta hun ke aap Hazrat Abubakar (رضي الله تعالى عنه) ki beti hain jo ke tamam logon mein sab se bade alim thay, mujhe jo taajjub hota hai wo aap ke ilm tibb par hota hai ke wo aap ko kaise, kahan se aur kyun kar hasil hua? Unhon ne un ke kandhe par hath maar kar kaha aye Urwa! Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) apni zindagi ke aakhri ayaam mein bimar hogaye thay, Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ke paas har taraf se ufud Arab aate thay, wo Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ke liye mukhtalif qisam ki cheezain tashkhees karte thay aur main un se Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ka ilaaj karti thi, bas wahin se yeh cheezen main ne hasil karlin.
حَدَّثَنَا حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُعَاوِيَةَ الزُّبَيْرِيُّ قَدِمَ عَلَيْنَا مَكَّةَ، حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامُ بْنُ عُرْوَةَ ، قَالَ: كَانَ عُرْوَةُ يَقُولُ لِعَائِشَةَ : يَا أُمَّتَاهُ، لَا أَعْجَبُ مِنْ فَهْمِكِ، أَقُولُ: زَوْجَةُ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَبِنْتُ أَبِي بَكْرٍ، وَلَا أَعْجَبُ مِنْ عِلْمِكِ بِالشِّعْرِ وَأَيَّامِ النَّاسِ، أَقُولُ: ابْنَةُ أَبِي بَكْرٍ، وَكَانَ أَعْلَمَ النَّاسِ أَوْ وَمِنْ أَعْلَمِ النَّاسِ، وَلَكِنْ أَعْجَبُ مِنْ عِلْمِكِ بِالطِّبِّ، كَيْفَ هُوَ؟ وَمِنْ أَيْنَ هُوَ؟ قَالَ: فَضَرَبَتْ عَلَى مَنْكِبِهِ، وَقَالَتْ:" أَيْ عُرَيَّةُ، إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ يَسْقَمُ عِنْدَ آخِرِ عُمْرِه، أَوْ فِي آخِرِ عُمْرِهِ، فَكَانَتْ تَقْدَمُ عَلَيْهِ وُفُودُ الْعَرَبِ مِنْ كُلِّ وَجْهٍ، فَتَنْعَتُ لَهُ الْأَنْعَاتَ، وَكُنْتُ أُعَالِجُهَا لَهُ، فَمِنْ ثَمَّ" .
