Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 24383
It is narrated on the authority of Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that once we sought permission from the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) to participate in Jihad. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, "Your Jihad is Hajj."

حضرت عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا سے مروی ہے کہ ایک مرتبہ ہم لوگوں نے نبی ﷺ سے جہاد میں شرکت کی اجازت چاہی تو نبی ﷺ نے فرمایا تمہارا جہاد حج ہی ہے۔
Hazrat Aisha Radi Allaho Anha se marvi hai keh aik martaba hum logon ne Nabi Sallallaho Alaihi Wasallam se jehad mein shirkat ki ijazat chahi tou Nabi Sallallaho Alaihi Wasallam ne farmaya tumhara jehad Hajj hi hai.
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ ، حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاوِيَةُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ بِنْتِ طَلْحَةَ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ أُمِّ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ، قَالَتْ: اسْتَأْذَنَّا النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي الْجِهَادِ، فَقَالَ: " جِهَادُكُنَّ، أَوْ حَسْبُكُنَّ، الْحَجُّ" .
