The Musnad of Abdullah ibn al-Abbas ibn Abd al-Muttalib (may Allah be pleased with them both)

Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 2442
It is narrated on the authority of Sayyiduna Ibn 'Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that on the day of the Battle of the Trench, the Muslims killed a man from the polytheists. The polytheists began to offer wealth and riches in exchange for his body. But the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, "Hand over his body to them as it is. It is a wretched body, and its blood-money is also impure." So the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) did not take anything from them in exchange.

سیدنا ابن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما سے مروی ہے کہ غزوہ خندق کے دن مسلمانوں نے مشرکین کا ایک آدمی قتل کر دیا، مشرکین اس کی لاش حاصل کرنے کے لئے مال و دولت کی پیشکش کرنے لگے، لیکن نبی ﷺ نے فرمایا: ”انہیں اس کی لاش اسی طرح حوالے کر دو، یہ خبیث لاش ہے اور اس کی دیت بھی ناپاک ہے۔“ چنانچہ نبی ﷺ نے ان سے اس کے عوض کچھ بھی نہیں لیا۔
Sayyidna Ibn Abbas ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a se marvi hai ki Ghazwa Khandaq ke din musalmanon ne mushrikon ka ek aadmi qatl kar diya, mushrikon is ki lash hasil karne ke liye maal o daulat ki peshkash karne lage, lekin Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya: “Inhen is ki lash isi tarah hawale kar do, yeh khabees lash hai aur is ki deet bhi napaak hai.” Chunancha Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne un se is ke awaz kuchh bhi nahin liya.
حَدَّثَنَا سُرَيْجٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبَّادٌ , عَنِ الْحَجَّاجِ ، عَنِ الْحَكَمِ ، عَنْ مِقْسَمٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، قَالَ: قَتَلَ الْمُسْلِمُونَ رَجُلًا مِنَ الْمُشْرِكِينَ يَوْمَ الْخَنْدَقِ، فَأَرْسَلُوا رَسُولًا إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَغْرَمُونَ الدِّيَةَ بِجِيفَتِهِ، قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:" إِنَّهُ لَخَبِيثٌ، خَبِيثُ الدِّيَةِ، خَبِيثُ الْجِيفَةِ" , فَخَلَّى بَيْنَهُمْ وَبَيْنَهُ.
