Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 24520
Narrated Aisha: A Jewish woman used to serve her. Whenever Aisha did any good to her, she would invoke a blessing upon her saying, "May Allah save you from the torment of the grave." One day, Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) came to my house, and I asked, "O Messenger of Allah! Will there be torment in the grave before the Day of Resurrection?" He replied, "No, but why are you asking?" I said, "This Jewish woman, whenever I do any good to her, says, 'May Allah save you from the torment of the grave.'" The Prophet said, "The Jews are liars. They falsely attribute this to Allah. There will be no torment before the Day of Resurrection." After a short while - "as long as Allah willed" - the Prophet (peace be upon him) came out at midday with his clothes wrapped up, his eyes red, and saying in a loud voice, "Trials and afflictions will befall you like pieces of a dark night. O people! If you knew what I know, you would weep much and laugh little. O people! Seek refuge in Allah from the torment of the grave, for the torment of the grave is true."

حضرت عائشہ سے مروی ہے کہ ایک یہودی عورت ان کی خدمت کیا کرتی تھی، حضرت عائشہ اس کے ساتھ جب بھی کوئی نیکی کرتیں تو وہ انہیں یہ دعا دیتی کہ اللہ آپ کو عذاب قبر سے محفوظ رکھے، ایک مرتبہ نبی ﷺ میرے یہاں تشریف لائے تو میں نے ان سے پوچھا یا رسول اللہ! کیا قیامت کے دن سے پہلے قبر میں بھی عذاب ہوگا؟ نبی ﷺ نے فرمایا نہیں، بلکہ تم کیوں پوچھ رہی ہو؟ میں نے عرض کیا کہ اس یہودیہ کے ساتھ میں جب بھی کوئی بھلائی کرتی ہوں تو وہ یہی کہتی ہے کہ اللہ آپ کو عذاب قبر سے محفوظ رکھے، نبی ﷺ نے فرمایا یہودی جھوٹ بولتے ہیں، یہ تو اللہ تعالیٰ کی طرف بھی جھوٹی نسبت کردیتے ہیں قیامت سے پہلے کوئی عذاب نہ ہوگا۔ تھوڑے عرصے بعد " جب تک اللہ کو منظور ہوا " نبی ﷺ نصف النہار کے وقت اپنے کپڑے اوپر لپیٹے ہوئے اس حال میں نکلے کہ آنکھیں سرخ ہو رہی تھیں اور بآ واز بلند فرما رہے تھے کہ اے لوگو! تم پر تاریک رات کے ٹکڑوں کی طرح فتنے چھا گئے ہیں، اے لوگو! جو میں جانتا ہوں اگر تم جانتے ہوتے تو زیادہ روتے اور تھوڑا ہنستے، اے لوگو! عذاب قبر سے اللہ کی پناہ مانگا کرو اور عذاب قبر برحق ہے۔
Hazrat Ayesha se marvi hai keh aik Yahodi aurat un ki khidmat kya karti thi, Hazrat Ayesha uss ke sath jab bhi koi neki karti thin toh woh unhen yeh dua deti thi keh Allah aap ko azab qabar se mehfooz rakhe, aik martaba Nabi ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) mere yahan tashreef laye toh main ne un se poocha Ya Rasulullah! kya qayamat ke din se pehle qabar mein bhi azab hoga? Nabi ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ne farmaya nahin, balkeh tum kyun pooch rahi ho? main ne arz kiya keh iss Yahodi ke sath main jab bhi koi bhalayi karti hun toh woh yehi kehti hai keh Allah aap ko azab qabar se mehfooz rakhe, Nabi ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ne farmaya Yahodi jhoot bolte hain, yeh toh Allah Ta'ala ki taraf bhi jhooti nisbat karte hain qayamat se pehle koi azab na hoga. Thode arse baad " Jab tak Allah ko manzoor hua " Nabi ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) nisf ul nahar ke waqt apne kapde upar lipete huye iss hal mein nikle keh aankhen surkh ho rahi thin aur ba aawaz buland farma rahe the keh aye logo! tum par tareek raat ke tukdon ki tarah fitne chha gaye hain, aye logo! jo main janta hun agar tum jante hote toh zyada rote aur thoda hanste, aye logo! azab qabar se Allah ki pana manga karo aur azab qabar barhaq hai.
حَدَّثَنَا هَاشِمٌ ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ أَنَّ يَهُودِيَّةً كَانَتْ تَخْدُمُهَا، فَلَا تَصْنَعُ عَائِشَةُ إِلَيْهَا شَيْئًا مِنَ الْمَعْرُوفِ إِلَّا قَالَتْ: وَقَاكِ اللَّهُ عذاب القبر. لَهَا الْيَهُودِيَّةُ , قَالَتْ: فَدَخَلَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَلَيَّ، فَقُلْتُ: يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ، هَلْ لِلْقَبْرِ عَذَابٌ قَبْلَ يَوْمِ الْقِيَامَةِ؟ قَالَ:" لَا، وَعَمَّ ذَاكَ؟" قَالَتْ: هَذِهِ الْيَهُودِيَّةُ لَا نَصْنَعُ إِلَيْهَا مِنَ الْمَعْرُوفِ شَيْئًا إِلَّا قَالَتْ: وَقَاكِ اللَّهُ عَذَابَ الْقَبْرِ. قَالَ:" كَذَبَتْ يَهُودُ، وَهُمْ عَلَى اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ أَكْذَبُ، لَا عَذَابَ دُونَ يَوْمِ الْقِيَامَةِ"، قَالَتْ: ثُمَّ مَكَثَ بَعْدَ ذَاكَ مَا شَاءَ اللَّهُ أَنْ يَمْكُثَ، فَخَرَجَ ذَاتَ يَوْمٍ نِصْفَ النَّهَارِ مُشْتَمِلًا بِثَوْبِهِ، مُحْمَرَّةً عَيْنَاهُ، وَهُوَ يُنَادِي بِأَعْلَى صَوْتِهِ:" أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ، أَظَلَّتْكُمْ الْفِتَنُ كَقِطَعِ اللَّيْلِ الْمُظْلِمِ، أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ، لَوْ تَعْلَمُونَ مَا أَعْلَمُ، بَكَيْتُمْ كَثِيرًا، وَضَحِكْتُمْ قَلِيلًا، أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ، اسْتَعِيذُوا بِاللَّهِ مِنْ عَذَابِ الْقَبْرِ، فَإِنَّ عَذَابَ الْقَبْرِ حَقٌّ" .
