Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 24540
It is narrated on the authority of Aisha that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “Take upon yourselves only such deeds as are within your capacity, for Allah does not grow weary, though you may. And the most beloved of deeds to Allah are those that are done consistently, even if they are few.” And it was the practice of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) that when he would begin a prayer at a certain time, he would remain steadfast in performing it at that time.

حضرت عائشہ سے مروی ہے کہ نبی ﷺ نے فرمایا اپنے آپ کو اتنے اعمال کا مکلف بناؤ جتنے کی تم طاقت رکھتے ہو، کیونکہ اللہ تعالیٰ تو نہیں اکتائے گا البتہ تم ضرور اکتا جاؤ گے اور نبی ﷺ کا معمول تھا کہ جب کسی وقت نماز شروع کرتے تو اس پر ثابت قدم رہتے اور نبی ﷺ کے نزدیک سب سے زیادہ پسندیدہ عمل وہ ہوتا تھا جو دائمی ہوتا۔
Hazrat Ayesha se marvi hai ki Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya apne aap ko itne amal ka mukallaf banao jitne ki tum taqat rakhte ho, kyunki Allah Ta'ala to nahi uktaye ga albatta tum zaroor ukta jao ge aur Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ka mamol tha ki jab kisi waqt namaz shuru karte to us par sabit qadam rahte aur Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ke nazdeek sab se zyada pasandida amal wo hota tha jo daimi hota.
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْمُغِيرَةِ ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا الْأَوْزَاعِيُّ ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، قَالَ: " خُذُوا مِنَ الْعَمَلِ مَا تُطِيقُونَ، فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ لَا يَمَلُّ حَتَّى تَمَلُّوا" ، قَالَتْ عَائِشَةُ: وَكَانَ أَحَبُّ الصَّلَاةِ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، إِذَا صَلَّى صَلَاةً دَاوَمَ عَلَيْهَا. قَالَ أَبُو سَلَمَةَ: قَالَ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ: الَّذِينَ هُمْ عَلَى صَلاتِهِمْ دَائِمُونَ سورة المعارج آية 23.
