Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 24601
Sa'd ibn Hisham narrates: I went to Ayesha and requested, "O Mother of the Believers! Tell me about the character of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him)." She replied, "The character of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) was the Quran itself. Have you not read this verse of the Holy Quran, 'And you are certainly on an exalted standard of character'?". I said, "I want to live in seclusion." She said, "Don't do this. Don't you read in the Holy Quran that there is an excellent model for you in the Messenger of Allah? The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) also married and had children."

سعد بن ہشام کہتے ہیں کہ ایک مرتبہ میں حضرت عائشہ کی خدمت میں حاضر ہوا اور عرض کیا اے ام المومنین! مجھے نبی ﷺ کے اخلاق کے بارے بتایئے، انہوں نے فرمایا کہ نبی ﷺ کے اخلاق تو قرآن ہی تھا، کیا تم نے قرآن کریم میں نبی ﷺ کا یہ ارشاد نہیں پڑھا " وانک لعلی خلق عظیم " میں نے عرض کیا کہ میں گوشہ نشین ہونا چاہتا ہوں؟ انہوں نے فرمایا ایسا مت کرو، کیا تم قرآن کریم میں یہ نہیں پڑھتے، تمہارے لئے اللہ کے پیغمبر میں اسوہ حسنہ موجود ہے، نبی ﷺ نے نکاح بھی کیا ہے اور ان کے یہاں اولاد بھی ہوئی ہے۔
Sad bin Hisham kehte hain ki aik martaba main Hazrat Ayesha ki khidmat mein hazir hua aur arz kiya aye Ummulmomineen mujhe Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ke akhlaq ke bare bataiye unhon ne farmaya ki Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ke akhlaq to Quran hi tha kya tum ne Quran Kareem mein Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ka ye irshad nahin parha "Wainnaka La'ala Khuluqin Azeem" maine arz kiya ki main gosha nishin hona chahta hun unhon ne farmaya aisa mat karo kya tum Quran Kareem mein ye nahin parhte tumhare liye Allah ke paighambar mein uswa hasana mojood hai Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne nikah bhi kiya hai aur un ke yahan aulad bhi hui hai.
حَدَّثَنَا هَاشِمُ بْنُ الْقَاسِمِ ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا مُبَارَكٌ ، عَنْ الْحَسَنِ ، عَنْ سَعْدِ بْنِ هِشَامِ بْنِ عَامِرٍ ، قَالَ: أَتَيْتُ عَائِشَةَ فَقُلْتُ: يَا أُمَّ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ، أَخْبِرِينِي بِخُلُقِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، قَالَتْ: " كَانَ خُلُقُهُ الْقُرْآنَ، أَمَا تَقْرَأُ الْقُرْآنَ، قَوْلَ اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ: وَإِنَّكَ لَعَلَى خُلُقٍ عَظِيمٍ سورة القلم آية 4" . قُلْتُ: فَإِنِّي أُرِيدُ أَنْ أَتَبَتَّلَ، قَالَتْ: " لَا تَفْعَلْ، أَمَا تَقْرَأُ: لَقَدْ كَانَ لَكُمْ فِي رَسُولِ اللَّهِ أُسْوَةٌ حَسَنَةٌ سورة الأحزاب آية 21 , فَقَدْ تَزَوَّجَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، وَقَدْ وُلِدَ لَهُ" .
