Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 24688
Abdullah bin Shaqiq reported: I asked Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) about the Prophet's (peace and blessings be upon him) voluntary prayers at night. She said: "The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) would stand for long periods in the night prayer and sit for long periods. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) would also recite while standing and perform bowing and prostrating."

عبداللہ بن شقیق کہتے ہیں کہ میں نے حضرت عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا رات کے وقت نبی ﷺ کی نفل نمازوں کے متعلق دریافت کیا تو انہوں نے فرمایا کہ رات کی نماز میں نبی ﷺ طویل قیام فرماتے اور کافی دیر تک بیٹھتے، نبی ﷺ کھڑے ہو کر بھی تلاوت اور رکوع و سجود فرماتے تھے۔
Abdullah bin Shaqiq kehte hain ke mein ne Hazrat Aisha ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) ا) raat ke waqt Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ki nafil namaazon ke mutalliq daryaft kiya to unhon ne farmaya ke raat ki namaz mein Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) tawil qayam farmate aur kaafi dair tak baithte, Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) kharay ho kar bhi tilawat aur ruku w sujud farmate thay.
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ ، قالَ: حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، عَنْ بُدَيْلٍ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ شَقِيقٍ ، قَالَ: كُنْتُ شَاكِيًا بِفَارِسَ، فَكُنْتُ أُصَلِّي قَاعِدًا، فَسَأَلْتُ عَنْ ذَلِكَ عَائِشَةَ ؟ فَقَالَتْ: كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " يُصَلِّي لَيْلًا طَوِيلًا قَائِمًا، وَلَيْلًا طَوِيلًا قَاعِدًا، فَإِذَا قَرَأَ قَائِمًا رَكَعَ، أَوْ خَشَعَ، قَائِمًا، وَإِذَا قَرَأَ قَاعِدًا رَكَعَ قَاعِدًا" .
