Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 24705
It is narrated on the authority of Aisha that sometimes the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) would be in a state of Janabah (ritual impurity after intercourse) in the morning, so he would perform Ghusl (ritual bath) and leave for the mosque, while drops of water would be dripping from the blessed head of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), and the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) would intend to fast that day.

حضرت عائشہ سے مروی ہے کہ نبی ﷺ بعض اوقات صبح کے وقت جنبی ہوتے تو غسل فرماتے اور مسجد کی طرف چل پڑتے، اس وقت نبی ﷺ کے سر مبارک سے پانی کے قطرات ٹپک رہے ہوتے تھے اور نبی ﷺ اس دن کے روزے کی نیت فرمالیتے تھے۔

حَدَّثَنَا حَسَنٌ ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا زُهَيْرٌ ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ ، عَنْ الْأَسْوَدِ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ، قَالَتْ: رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " يَخْرُجُ إِلَى الصَّلَاةِ وَرَأْسُهُ يَقْطُرُ، كَانَ جُنُبًا فَاغْتَسَلَ، وَهُوَ يُرِيدُ الصَّوْمَ" .
