Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 24774
It is narrated on the authority of Ayesha that when the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) was suffering from his fatal illness, I placed my hand on the chest of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and prayed, “O Lord of the people! Remove this pain, You are the only Healer and You are the only Curer,” and the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) himself was praying, “Grant me the company of the highest companion, grant me the company of the highest companion.”

حضرت عائشہ سے مروی ہے کہ نبی ﷺ جب مرض الوفات میں مبتلا ہوئے تو میں نے اپنا ہاتھ نبی ﷺ کے سینے پر رکھ کر یہ دعاء کی کہ اے لوگوں کے رب! اس تکلیف کو دور فرما، تو ہی طبیب ہے اور تو ہی شفاء دینے والا ہے اور نبی ﷺ خود یہ دعا فرما رہے تھے کہ مجھے رفیق اعلیٰ سے ملا دے، مجھے رفیق اعلیٰ سے ملا دے۔
Hazrat Ayesha se marvi hai keh Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) jab marz ul wifaat mein mubtala hue to maine apna hath Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ke seene par rakh kar yeh dua ki keh aye logon ke rab! iss takleef ko door farma, tu hi tabib hai aur tu hi shifa dene wala hai aur Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) khud yeh dua farma rahe the keh mujhe rafiq e aala se mila de, mujhe rafiq e aala se mila de.
حَدَّثَنَا سُرَيْجٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا نَافِعٌ ، عَنْ ابْنِ أَبِي مُلَيْكَةَ ، قَالَتْ عَائِشَةُ : مَرِضَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، فَوَضَعْتُ يَدِي عَلَى صَدْرِهِ، فَقُلْتُ: أَذْهِبْ الْبَاسَ رَبَّ النَّاسِ، أَنْتَ الطَّبِيبُ وَأَنْتَ الشَّافِي. وَكَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، يَقُولُ: " أَلْحِقْنِي بِالرَّفِيقِ الْأَعْلَى، وَأَلْحِقْنِي بِالرَّفِيقِ الْأَعْلَى" .
