The Musnad of Abdullah ibn al-Abbas ibn Abd al-Muttalib (may Allah be pleased with them both)

Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 2479
Narrated by Ibn 'Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him), the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "The best kohl for you is antimony; it sharpens the eyesight and makes the eyelashes grow when applied at bedtime. Wear white clothes, for they are the best, and shroud your dead in them."

سیدنا ابن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما سے مروی ہے کہ رسول اللہ ﷺ نے ارشاد فرمایا: ”تمہارا بہترین سرمہ اثمد ہے جو سوتے وقت لگانے سے بینائی کو تیز کرتا ہے اور پلکوں کے بال اگاتا ہے، سفید کپڑے پہنا کرو کیونکہ یہ سب سے بہترین ہوتے ہیں اور ان ہی میں اپنے مردوں کو کفن دیا کرو۔“
Sayyidna Ibn Abbas ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a se marvi hai ki Rasul Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne irshad farmaya: "Tumhara behtarin surma ismid hai jo sote waqt lagane se beenai ko tez karta hai aur palkon ke baal ugata hai, safed kapre pehna karo kyunki yeh sab se behtarin hote hain aur in hi mein apne murdon ko kafan diya karo."
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو أَحْمَدَ ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُثْمَانَ ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:" خَيْرُ أَكْحَالِكُمُ الْإِثْمِدُ عِنْدَ النَّوْمِ، يُنْبِتُ الشَّعْرَ، وَيَجْلُو الْبَصَرَ، وَخَيْرُ ثِيَابِكُمْ الْبَيَاضُ، فَالْبَسُوهَا، وَكَفِّنُوا فِيهَا مَوْتَاكُمْ".
