Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 24982
It is narrated by Abu Burdah (may Allah be pleased with him) that once he was in the service of Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) and submitted, "Mother! Tell me a Hadith that you have heard directly from the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him)." She replied that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, "Birds fly according to destiny (so there is no bad omen in flying to the right or left of anyone)" and the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) was pleased with a good omen.

حضرت ابوبردہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ ایک مرتبہ میں حضرت عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا کی خدمت میں حاضر ہوا اور عرض کیا اماں جان! مجھے کوئی ایسی حدیث سنائے جو آپ نے نبی ﷺ سے خود سنی ہو؟ انہوں نے جواب دیا کہ نبی ﷺ نے ارشاد فرمایا پرندے بھی تقدیر کے مطابق ہی اڑتے ہیں (اس لئے کسی کے دائیں بائیں اڑنے میں نحوست نہیں ہے) اور نبی ﷺ اچھی فال سے خوش ہوتے تھے۔

حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا الْكِرْمَانِيُّ حَسَّانُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ مَسْرُوقٍ ، عَنْ يُوسُفَ بْنِ أَبِي بُرْدَةَ بْنِ أَبِي مُوسَى الْأَشْعَرِيِّ ، عَنْ أَبِي بُرْدَةَ ، قَالَ: أَتَيْتُ عَائِشَةَ ، فَقُلْتُ: يَا أُمَّتَاهُ، حَدِّثِينِي شَيْئًا سَمِعْتِهِ مِنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، فَقَالَتْ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " الطَّيْرُ تَجْرِي بِقَدَرٍ"، وَكَانَ يُعْجِبُهُ الْفَأْلُ الْحَسَنُ .
