Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 25113
Narrated Aisha, may Allah be pleased with her: The day the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, became ill with his fatal illness, he came to my house. I was suffering from a headache and said, "Oh, my head!" The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, jokingly said, "I wish that which is to be were to happen while I am still alive, so I could properly prepare you and bury you." I said, "Do you have something else in mind? You will probably take another wife and spend the night with her on this very day." The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said, "Oh, my head! Call my father and brother to me so that I may write a document for Abu Bakr, for I fear that someone may say something or someone may desire that they are more deserving of the Caliphate, while Allah and all the Muslims will not accept anyone but Abu Bakr."

حضرت عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا سے مروی ہے کہ جس دن نبی ﷺ کے مرض الوفات کی ابتداء ہوئی، نبی ﷺ میرے یہاں تشریف لائے، میرے سر میں درد ہورہا تھا اس لئے میں نے کہا ہائے میرا سر، نبی ﷺ نے مذاق میں فرمایا میری خواہش ہے کہ جو ہونا ہے وہ زندگی میں ہوجائے تو میں اچھی طرح تمہیں تیار کرکے دفن کر دوں، میں نے کہا کہ آپ کا مقصد کچھ اور ہے؟ آپ اسی دن کسی اور عورت کے ساتھ دولہا بن کر شب باشی کریں گے، نبی ﷺ نے فرمایا ہائے میرا سر اپنے والد اور بھائی کو میرے پاس بلاؤ تاکہ میں ابوبکر کے لئے ایک تحریر لکھ دوں، کیونکہ مجھے اندیشہ ہے کہ کوئی کہنے والا کہے گا اور کوئی تمنا کرنے والا تمنا کرے گا کہ خلافت کا زیادہ مستحق میں ہوں اور اللہ اور تمام مسلمان ابوبکر کے علاوہ کسی کو نہیں مانیں گے۔
Hazrat Ayesha ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) ا) se marvi hai ke jis din Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ke marz ul wafat ki ibtida hui, Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) mere yahan tashreef laaye, mere sar mein dard horaha tha is liye maine kaha haye mera sar, Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne mazaq mein farmaya meri khwahish hai ke jo hona hai woh zindagi mein hojaaye tou mein achi tarah tumhein taiyar karke dafan kar dun, maine kaha ke aap ka maqsad kuchh aur hai? Aap isi din kisi aur aurat ke sath dulha bankar shab bashi karenge, Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya haye mera sar apne walid aur bhai ko mere paas bulao takay mein Abubakar ke liye ek tahrir likh dun, kyunki mujhe andesha hai ke koi kehne wala kahega aur koi tamanna karne wala tamanna karega ke khilafat ka ziada mustahiq mein hun aur Allah aur tamam musalman Abubakar ke ilawa kisi ko nahin manenge.
حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ ، أَخْبَرَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ ، عَنْ صَالِحِ بْنِ كَيْسَانَ ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، عَنْ عُرْوَةَ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ، قَالَتْ: دَخَلَ عَلَيَّ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي الْيَوْمِ الَّذِي بُدِئَ فِيهِ، فَقُلْتُ: وَارَأْسَاهْ، فَقَالَ:" وَدِدْتُ أَنَّ ذَلِكَ كَانَ وَأَنَا حَيٌّ، فَهَيَّأْتُكِ وَدَفَنْتُكِ". قَالَتْ: فَقُلْتُ غَيْرَى: كَأَنِّي بِكَ فِي ذَلِكَ الْيَوْمِ عَرُوسًا بِبَعْضِ نِسَائِكَ. قَالَ: " وَأَنَا وَارَأْسَاهْ، ادْعُوا ِلَيَّ أَبَاكِ وَأَخَاكِ حَتَّى أَكْتُبَ لِأَبِي بَكْرٍ كِتَابًا، فَإِنِّي أَخَافُ أَنْ يَقُولَ قَائِلٌ وَيَتَمَنَّى مُتَمَنٍّ: أَنَا أَوْلَى، وَيَأْبَى اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ وَالْمُؤْمِنُونَ إِلَّا أَبَا بَكْرٍ" .
