Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 25258
It is narrated on the authority of Hazrat Ayesha (may Allah be pleased with her) that during his final illness, the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, "Order Abu Bakr to lead the people in prayer." Hazrat Ayesha (may Allah be pleased with her) said, "O Messenger of Allah! Abu Bakr is a soft-hearted man, he will not be able to control his tears and people will not be able to hear his voice." But the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) again said, "Tell Abu Bakr to lead the people in prayer." When I repeated (my concern), the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) gave the same order and said, "You are like the women who were fond of Joseph (and concealed their feelings, outwardly saying something else).

حضرت عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا سے مروی ہے کہ نبی ﷺ نے اپنے مرض الوفات میں فرمایا ابوبکر کو حکم دو کہ لوگوں کو نماز پڑھا دیں، حضرت عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا نے عرض کیا یا رسول اللہ! ابوبکر رقیق القلب آدمی ہیں، وہ اپنے آنسوؤں پر قابو نہ رکھ سکیں گے اور لوگوں کو ان کی آواز سنائی نہ دے گی، لیکن نبی ﷺ نے پھر فرمایا ابوبکر سے کہو کہ وہ لوگوں کو نماز پڑھائیں، جب میں نے تکرار کی تو نبی ﷺ نے یہی حکم دیا اور فرمایا تم تو یوسف علیہ السلام پر فریفتہ ہونے والی عورتوں کی طرح ہو (جو دل میں کچھ رکھتی تھیں اور زبان سے کچھ ظاہر کرتی تھیں)
Hazrat Ayesha Radi Allaho Anha se marvi hai ki Nabi Sallallaho Alaihi Wasallam ne apne marz ul wafat mein farmaya Abu Bakar ko hukum do ki logon ko namaz parha dain, Hazrat Ayesha Radi Allaho Anha ne arz kiya Ya Rasool Allah! Abu Bakar raqiq ul qalb aadmi hain, woh apne aansuon per qaboo na rakh sakenge aur logon ko un ki aawaz sunai na degi, lekin Nabi Sallallaho Alaihi Wasallam ne phir farmaya Abu Bakar se kaho ki woh logon ko namaz parhain, jab maine takrar ki to Nabi Sallallaho Alaihi Wasallam ne yahi hukum diya aur farmaya tum to Yousuf Alaihis Salam par farefta hone wali auraton ki tarah ho (jo dil mein kuchh rakhti thin aur zuban se kuchh zahir karti thin).
حَدَّثَنَا شَبَابَةُ ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، عَنْ سَعْدِ بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ، عَنْ عُرْوَةَ بْنِ الزُّبَيْرِ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ، قَالَتْ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي مَرَضِهِ الَّذِي مَاتَ فِيهِ:" مُرُوا أَبَا بَكْرٍ يُصَلِّي بِالنَّاسِ". قَالَتْ عَائِشَةُ: إِنَّ أَبَا بَكْرٍ رَجُلٌ أَسِيفٌ، فَمَتَى يَقُومُ مَقَامَكَ تُدْرِكُهُ الرِّقَةُ؟ فقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " إِنَّكُنَّ صَوَاحِبُ يُوسُفَ، مُرُوا أَبَا بَكْرٍ ْيُصَلِّ بِالنَّاسِ". فَصَلَّى أَبُو بَكْرٍ، وَصَلَّى النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ خَلْفَهُ قَاعِدًا .
