Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 25440
Narrated Aisha: The Prophet (ﷺ) said to her, "Do you know that when your people reconstructed the Ka'ba, they shortened it from the foundation laid by Abraham?" I said, "O Messenger of Allah! Then why don't you restore it to the foundation of Abraham?" He replied, "Were it not that your people had recently abandoned disbelief, I would have done so." When 'Abdullah bin 'Umar (May Allah be pleased with him) heard this Hadith, he said, "By Allah! If 'Aisha (May Allah be pleased with her) had heard this Hadith from the Prophet (ﷺ), I think that is the reason why the Prophet (ﷺ) did not touch the two corners (towards Syria) which were joined to the Ka'ba, because the building of the Ka'ba was not completed upon the foundation of Abraham, and the Prophet (ﷺ) wished that the people should include the whole of it in their Tawaf as it was on the foundation laid by Abraham."

حضرت عائشہ سے مروی ہے کہ نبی ﷺ نے ان سے فرمایا کیا تمہیں معلوم ہے کہ تمہاری قوم نے جب خانہ کعبہ کی تعمیر نو کی تھی تو اسے حضرت ابراہیم علیہ السلام کی بنیادوں سے کم کردیا تھا؟ میں نے عرض کیا یا رسول اللہ! پھر آپ اسے حضرت ابراہیم علیہ السلام کی بنیاد پر کیوں نہیں لوٹا دیتے؟ نبی ﷺ نے فرمایا اگر تمہاری قوم کا زمانہ کفر کے قریب نہ ہوتا تو ایسا ہی کرتا، حضرت عبداللہ بن عمر رضی اللہ عنہ نے یہ حدیث سن کر فرمایا واللہ اگر حضرت عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا نے یہ حدیث نبی ﷺ سے سنی ہے تو میرا خیال ہے کہ نبی ﷺ حطیم سے ملے ہوئے دونوں کونوں کا استلام اسی لئے نہیں فرماتے تھے کہ بیت اللہ کی تعمیر حضرت ابراہیم علیہ السلام کی بنیادوں پر مکمل نہیں ہوئی تھی اور نبی ﷺ یہ چاہتے تھے کہ لوگ طواف میں اس پورے بیت اللہ کو شامل کریں جو حضرت ابراہیم علیہ السلام کی بنیادوں کے مطابق ہے۔
Hazrat Ayesha se marvi hai ki Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne un se farmaya kya tumhen maloom hai ki tumhari qaum ne jab khana kaba ki tameer no ki thi to use Hazrat Ibrahim alaihissalam ki bunyadon se kam kar diya tha? Maine arz kiya Ya Rasulullah! Phir aap use Hazrat Ibrahim alaihissalam ki bunyad par kyun nahin lauta dete? Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya agar tumhari qaum ka zamana kufr ke qareeb na hota to aisa hi karta, Hazrat Abdullah bin Umar (رضي الله تعالى عنه) ne ye hadees sun kar farmaya wallahu agar Hazrat Ayesha ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) ا) ne ye hadees Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) se suni hai to mera khayal hai ki Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) hateem se mile hue donon konon ka istalaam isi liye nahin farmate the ki baitullah ki tameer Hazrat Ibrahim alaihissalam ki bunyadon par mukammal nahin hui thi aur Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ye chahte the ki log tawaaf mein is pure baitullah ko shamil karen jo Hazrat Ibrahim alaihissalam ki bunyadon ke mutabiq hai.
قَرَأْتُ عَلَى عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ : مَالِكٌ ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ ، عَنْ سَالِمِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، أَنَّ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ أَبِي بَكْرٍ الصِّدِّيقِ ، أَخْبَرَ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ عُمَرَ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: " أَلَمْ تَرَيْ أَنَّ قَوْمَكِ حِينَ بَنَوْا الْكَعْبَةَ اقْتَصَرُوا عَنْ قَوَاعِدِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَلَيْهِ السَّلَام"، قَالَتْ: فَقُلْتُ: يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ، أَلَا تَرُدُّهَا عَلَى قَوَاعِدِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَلَيْهِ السَّلَام؟ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:" لَوْلَا حِدْثَانُ قَوْمِكِ بِالْكُفْرِ" . قَالَ: فَقَالَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عُمَرَ: لَئِنْ كَانَتْ عَائِشَةُ سَمِعَتْ هَذَا مِنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَا أُرَى رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، تَرَكَ اسْتِلَامَ الرُّكْنَيْنِ اللَّذَيْنِ يَلِيَانِ الْحِجْرَ، إِلَّا أَنَّ الْبَيْتَ لَمْ يَتِمَّ عَلَى قَوَاعِدِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَلَيْهِ السَّلَام.
