Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 25446
It is narrated by Aisha that once the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) went to the mosque and started praying. People gathered and joined him in prayer. The next night, even more people gathered than before. The same thing happened on the third day. On the fourth day, so many people gathered that there was no room for anyone else in the mosque. But that day, the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) stayed at home and did not come out. Then, when the Fajr prayer was offered, he said, "Your condition last night was not hidden from me, but I feared that this prayer might become obligatory upon you, and then you would not be able to do it, and this was during Ramadan."

حضرت عائشہ سے مروی ہے کہ ایک مرتبہ نبی ﷺ مسجد میں جا کر نماز پڑھنے لگے، لوگ جمع ہوئے اور وہ بھی نبی ﷺ کی نماز میں شریک ہوگئے، اگلی رات کو پہلے سے زیادہ تعداد میں لوگ جمع ہوگئے، تیسرے دن بھی یہی ہوا۔ چوتھے دن بھی لوگ اتنے جمع ہوگئے کہ مسجد میں مزید کسی آدمی کے آنے کی گنجائش نہ رہی لیکن اس دن نبی ﷺ گھر میں بیٹھے رہے اور باہر نہیں نکلے، پھر جب فجر کی نماز پڑھائی تو فرمایا تمہاری آج رات کی حالت مجھ سے پوشیدہ نہیں ہے، لیکن مجھے اس بات کا اندیشہ ہوچلا تھا کہ کہیں یہ نماز تم پر فرض نہ ہوجائے اور پھر تم اس سے عاجز آجاؤ اور یہ رمضان کی بات ہے۔
Hazrat Ayesha se marvi hai keh aik martaba Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) masjid mein ja kar namaz parhne lage, log jama hue aur wo bhi Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ki namaz mein shareek hogaye, agli raat ko pehle se ziada tadaad mein log jama hogaye, teesre din bhi yahi hua. Chauthe din bhi log itne jama hogaye keh masjid mein mazeed kisi aadmi ke aane ki gunjaish na rahi lekin us din Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ghar mein baithe rahe aur bahar nahi nikle, phir jab fajr ki namaz parhai to farmaya tumhari aaj raat ki halat mujhse poshida nahi hai, lekin mujhe is baat ka andesha hochala tha keh kahin yeh namaz tum par farz na hojae aur phir tum is se aajiz aajao aur yeh Ramzan ki baat hai.
قَرَأْتُ عَلَى عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ : مَالِكٌ ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ ، عَنْ عُرْوَةَ بْنِ الزُّبَيْرِ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ زَوْجِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ صَلَّى فِي الْمَسْجِدِ، فَصَلَّى بِصَلَاتِهِ نَاسٌ، ثُمَّ صَلَّى مِنَ الْقَابِلَةِ، فَكَثُرَ النَّاسُ، ثُمَّ اجْتَمَعُوا مِنَ اللَّيْلَةِ الثَّالِثَةِ أَوْ الرَّابِعَةِ فَلَمْ يَخْرُجْ إِلَيْهِمْ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، فَلَمَّا أَصْبَحَ، قَالَ: " رَأَيْتُ الَّذِي صَنَعْتُمْ فَلَمْ يَمْنَعْنِي مِنَ الْخُرُوجِ إِلَيْكُمْ، إِلَّا أَنِّي خَشِيتُ أَنْ تُفْرَضَ عَلَيْكُمْ" وَذَلِكَ فِي رَمَضَانَ .
