Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 25491
Narrated Aisha, may Allah be pleased with her: A month would pass by and no fire would be lit in the houses of the Prophet, may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him. I asked, "O Messenger of Allah, then on what did you survive?" He responded, "On the two blacks (dates and water)," or he said, "On what Allah provided." There were some neighbors of ours from amongst the Ansar who owned milk-yielding goats. They would send some of their milk to the Prophet, may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him, and he would make us drink it. May Allah reward them with goodness.

حضرت عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا سے مروی ہے کہ آلِ محمد ﷺ پر بعض اوقات ایک ایک مہینہ اس طرح گزر جاتا تھا کہ نبی ﷺ کے کسی گھر میں آگ نہیں جلتی تھی، الاّ یہ کہ کہیں سے تھوڑا بہت گوشت آجائے اور ہمارے گزارے کے لئے صرف دو ہی چیزیں ہوتی تھیں یعنی پانی اور کجھور، البتہ ہمارے آس پاس انصار کے کچھ گھرانے آباد تھے، اللہ انہیں ہمیشہ جزائے خیر دے، کہ وہ روزانہ نبی ﷺ کے پاس اپنی بکری کا دودھ بھیج دیا کرتے تھے اور نبی ﷺ اسے نوش فرما لیا کرتے تھے۔

حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدٌ يَعْنِي ابْنَ عَمْرٍو ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ، قَالَتْ:" لَقَدْ كَانَ يَأْتِي عَلَى آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ الشَّهْرُ مَا يُرَى فِي بَيْتٍ مِنْ بُيُوتِهِ الدُّخَانُ"، قُلْتُ: يَا أُمَّهْ، وَمَا كَانَ طَعَامُهُمْ؟ قَالَتْ:" الْأَسْوَدَانِ التَّمْرُ وَالْمَاءُ، غَيْرَ أَنَّهُ كَانَ لَهُ جِيرَانُ صِدْقٍ مِنَ الْأَنْصَارِ، وَكَانَ لَهُمْ رَبَائِبُ، فَكَانُوا يَبْعَثُونَ إِلَيْهِ مِنْ أَلْبَانِهَا" .
