Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 25544
It is narrated by Umm al-Mu'minin Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that Umm Habibah bint Jahsh (who was the wife of Abdur Rahman bin Auf, may Allah be pleased with him) suffered from istihadha (abnormal vaginal bleeding) for seven years. She complained about this disease to the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, "This is not menstruation, but rather it is the blood of a vein. So when your usual period comes, leave the prayer, and when it ends, perform ghusl (ritual bath) and pray." Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) said that after that, she would perform ghusl before every prayer and pray, and she would sit in the tub of her sister, Zainab bint Jahsh (may Allah be pleased with her), so that the redness of the blood would overcome the color of the water.

ام المومنین حضرت عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا سے مروی ہے کہ ام حبیبہ بنت جحش (جو حضرت عبدالرحمن بن عوف رضی اللہ عنہ کے نکاح میں تھیں) سات سال تک دمِ استحاضہ کا شکار رہیں، انہوں نے نبی ﷺ سے اس بیماری کی شکایت کی تو نبی ﷺ نے فرمایا یہ " معمول کے ایام " نہیں ہیں، بلکہ یہ ایک رگ کا خون ہے اس لئے جب معمول کے ایام آئیں تو نماز چھوڑ دیا کرو اور جب ختم ہوجائیں تو غسل کرکے نماز پڑھ لیا کرو، حضرت عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا کہتی ہیں کہ پھر وہ ہر نماز کے لئے غسل کرکے نماز پڑھ لیا کرتی تھیں اور اپنی بہن زینب بنت جحش رضی اللہ عنہ کے ٹب میں بیٹھ جاتی تھیں جس سے خون کی سرخی پانی کی رنگت پر غالب آجاتی تھی۔
Umm ul Momineen Hazrat Ayesha Radi Allaho Anha se marvi hai ke Umm Habibah bint Jahsh (jo Hazrat Abdur Rehman bin Auf Radi Allaho Anho ke nikah mein thin) saat saal tak dam e istihaza ka shikar rahin, unhon ne Nabi Sallallaho Alaihi Wasallam se is bimari ki shikayat ki to Nabi Sallallaho Alaihi Wasallam ne farmaya ye "mamool ke ayaam" nahin hain, balkeh ye ek rag ka khoon hai is liye jab mamool ke ayaam aayen to namaz chhor diya karo aur jab khatam ho jaayen to ghusl kar ke namaz parh liya karo, Hazrat Ayesha Radi Allaho Anha kehti hain ke phir woh har namaz ke liye ghusl kar ke namaz parh liya karti thin aur apni behan Zainab bint Jahsh Radi Allaho Anha ke tub mein baith jati thin jisse khoon ki surkhi pani ki rangat par ghalib aa jati thi.
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ مَهْدِيٍّ ، حدثنا إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ سَعْدٍ ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ . وَأَبُو كَامِلٍ ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ شِهَابٍ ، عَنْ عَمْرَةَ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ، قَالَتْ: جَاءَتْ أُمُّ حَبِيبَةَ بِنْتُ جَحْشٍ قَالَ أَبُو كَامِلٍ: أُمُّ حَبِيبٍ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، وَكَانَتْ اسْتُحِيضَتْ سَبْعَ سِنِينَ، فَاشْتَكَتْ ذَلِكَ إِلَيْهِ، وَاسْتَفْتَتْهُ فِيهِ، فَقَالَ: " لَيْسَ هَذَا بِالْحَيْضَةِ وَلَكِنَّ هَذَا عِرْقٌ، فَاغْتَسِلِي وَصَلِّي" . فَكَانَتْ تَغْتَسِلُ لِكُلِّ صَلَاةٍ وَتُصَلِّي، وَكَانَتْ تَجْلِسُ فِي مِرْكَنٍ، فَتَعْلُو حُمْرَةُ الدَّمِ الْمَاءَ، ثُمَّ تُصَلِّي.
