Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 25663
It is narrated on the authority of Ayesha (may Allah be pleased with her) that during his final illness, the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, "Tell Abu Bakr to lead the people in prayer." I said, "O Messenger of Allah! Abu Bakr is a soft-hearted man. He will not be able to control his tears," because whenever Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) used to recite the Holy Quran, he would start crying. But the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) again said, "Tell Abu Bakr to lead the people in prayer." I said to Hafsa, "You tell the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) that Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) will not be able to make the people hear anything due to his weeping and sobbing, so you order Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) to do so." The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) repeated the same order and said, "You are like the women who were infatuated with Joseph (peace be upon him) (who had something in their hearts and showed something else with their tongues)." Hearing this, Hafsa turned to me and said, "You have not brought me any good."

حضرت عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا سے مروی ہے کہ نبی ﷺ نے اپنے مرض الوفات میں فرمایا ابوبکر سے کہہ دو کہ لوگوں کو نماز پڑھائیں، میں نے عرض کیا یا رسول اللہ! ابوبکر رقیق القلب آدمی ہیں، وہ اپنے آنسوؤں پر قابو نہ رکھ سکیں گے، کیونکہ حضرت ابوبکر رضی اللہ عنہ جب بھی قرآن کریم کی تلاوت فرماتے تو رونے لگتے تھے، لیکن نبی ﷺ نے پھر فرمایا ابوبکر سے کہو کہ وہ لوگوں کو نماز پڑھائیں، میں نے حفصہ سے کہا کہ تم نبی ﷺ سے کہہ دو کہ حضرت ابوبکر رضی اللہ عنہ لوگوں کو آہ و بکاء کی وجہ سے کچھ سنا نہیں پائیں گے اس لئے آپ حضرت عمر رضی اللہ عنہ کو اس کا حکم دے دیں، نبی ﷺ نے پھر یہی حکم دیا اور فرمایا تم تو یوسف علیہ السلام پر فریفتہ ہونے والی عورتوں کی طرح ہو (جو دل میں کچھ رکھتی تھیں اور زبان سے کچھ ظاہر کرتی تھیں) یہ سن کر حضصہ نے میری طرف متوجہ ہو کر کہا کہ مجھے تم سے بھلائی حاصل نہیں ہوئی۔
Hazrat Ayesha ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) ا) se marvi hai keh Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne apne marz ul wafat mein farmaya Abu Bakar se keh do keh logon ko namaz parhaen, maine arz kiya Ya Rasul Allah! Abu Bakar raqiq ul qalb aadmi hain, woh apne aansuon per qaboo na rakh saken ge, kyunki Hazrat Abu Bakar (رضي الله تعالى عنه) jab bhi Quran e Kareem ki tilawat farmate to rone lagte thay, lekin Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne phir farmaya Abu Bakar se kaho keh woh logon ko namaz parhaen, maine Hafsa se kaha keh tum Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) se keh do keh Hazrat Abu Bakar (رضي الله تعالى عنه) logon ko ah o buka ki wajah se kuch suna nahi paen ge is liye aap Hazrat Umar (رضي الله تعالى عنه) ko is ka hukum de den, Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne phir yahi hukum diya aur farmaya tum to Yusuf alaihissalam per farefta hone wali auraton ki tarah ho (jo dil mein kuch rakhti thin aur zuban se kuch zahir karti thin) yeh sun kar Hafsa ne meri taraf mutawajjah ho kar kaha keh mujhe tum se bhalai hasil nahi hui.
حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى ، عَنْ هِشَامٍ ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنِي أَبِي ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ، قَالَتْ: قَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي مَرَضِهِ الَّذِي مَاتَ فِيهِ:" مُرُوا أَبَا بَكْرٍ يُصَلِّي بِالنَّاسِ"، قُلْتُ: إِنَّ أَبَا بَكْرٍ إِذَا قَامَ مَقَامَكَ لَمْ يُسْمِعْ النَّاسَ مِنَ الْبُكَاءِ، قَالَ:" مُرُوا أَبَا بَكْرٍ". فَقُلْتُ لِحَفْصَةَ: قُولِي إِنَّ أَبَا بَكْرٍ لَا يُسْمِعُ النَّاسَ مِنَ الْبُكَاءِ فَلَوْ أَمَرْتَ عُمَرَ، فَقَالَ: " صَوَاحِبَ يُوسُفَ، مُرُوا أَبَا بَكْرٍ يُصَلِّي بِالنَّاسِ". فَالْتَفَتَتْ إِلَيَّ حَفْصَةُ، فَقَالَتْ: لَمْ أَكُنْ لِأُصِيبَ مِنْكِ خَيْرًا .
