Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 25665
Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) narrated that Hamza (may Allah be pleased with him) once came to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and said, "O Messenger of Allah! I am a man who fasts continuously, can I fast while traveling?" The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) replied, "If you wish, fast, and if you wish, do not fast."

حضرت عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا سے مروی ہے کہ حضرت حمزہ اسلمی رضی اللہ عنہ ایک مرتبہ بارگاہ رسالت میں حاضر ہوئے اور فرمایا کیا یا سول اللہ! میں مستقل روزے رکھنے والا آدمی ہوں، کیا میں سفر میں روزے رکھ سکتا ہوں؟ نبی ﷺ نے فرمایا اگر چاہو تو رکھ لو اور چاہو تو نہ رکھو۔
Hazrat Ayesha Radi Allaho Anha se marvi hai ki Hazrat Hamza Islami Radi Allaho Anho ek martaba bargah risalat mein hazir hue aur farmaya kya Ya Rasool Allah mein mustaqil roze rakhne wala aadmi hun kya mein safar mein roze rakh sakta hun Nabi Sallallaho Alaihi Wasallam ne farmaya agar chaho to rakh lo aur chaho to na rakho.
حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامٌ بن عروة ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنِي أَبِي ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ، قَالَتْ: جَاءَ حَمْزَةُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو الْأَسْلَمِيُّ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، فَقَالَ: إِنِّي كُنْتُ أَصُومُ، يَعْنِي أَسْرُدُ الصَّوْمَ، أَفَأَصُومُ فِي السَّفَرِ؟ قَالَ: " إِنْ شِئْتَ فَصُمْ، وَإِنْ شِئْتَ فَأَفْطِرْ" .
