Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 25816
A man said that I asked Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) how much water was sufficient for the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) for Ghusl (ritual bath) after sexual intercourse. She called for a vessel, I estimated it, it was one Sa'a (a unit of measurement) equal to the present Sa'a.

ایک صاحب کا کہنا ہے کہ میں نے حضرت عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا سے پوچھا کہ غسل جنابت کے لئے نبی ﷺ کو کتنا پانی کفایت کرجاتا تھا؟ اس پر انہوں نے ایک برتن منگوایا، میں نے اس کا اندازہ کیا تو وہ موجودہ صاع کے برابر ایک صاع تھا۔

حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ , حَدَّثَنَا يُونُسُ , عَنْ الْحَسَنِ , قَال: َقَالَ رَجُلٌ : قُلْتُ لِعَائِشَة : َمَا كَانَ يَقْضِي عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ غُسْلَهُ مِنَ الْجَنَابَةِ , قَال: َ" فَدَعَتْ بِإِنَاءٍ حَزَرَتْهُ صَاعًا بِصَاعِكُمْ هَذَا" .
