Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 25826
It is narrated on the authority of Ayesha (may Allah be pleased with her) that when the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) became weak, he (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) would sit and offer the prayer of "however much Allah wills" and when thirty or forty verses of this Surah remained, he (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) would stand up, then recite them and go into bowing.

حضرت عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا سے مروی ہے کہ نبی ﷺ کا بدن مبارک جب بھاری ہوگیا تو نبی ﷺ بیٹھ کر ہی " جتنی اللہ کو منظور ہوتی " نماز پڑھ لیتے تھے اور جب اس سورت کی تیس یا چالیس آیات رہ جاتیں تو کھڑے ہوجاتے، پھر ان کی تلاوت کر کے رکوع میں جاتے تھے۔

حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ , عَنِ الْوَلِيدِ بْنِ أَبِي هِشَامٍ , عَنْ أَبِي بَكْرِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَمْرِو بْنِ حَزْمٍ , عَنْ عَمْرَةَ , عَنْ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ:" كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقْرَأُ وَهُوَ قَاعِدٌ , فَإِذَا أَرَادَ أَنْ يَرْكَعَ , قَامَ قَدْرَ مَا يَقْرَأُ إِنْسَانٌ أَرْبَعِينَ آيَةً" .
