The Musnad of Abdullah ibn al-Abbas ibn Abd al-Muttalib (may Allah be pleased with them both)

Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 2586
It is narrated on the authority of Sayyiduna Ibn 'Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “Do not take anything that has a soul as a target and tie it up (for target practice).”
Grade: Sahih
سیدنا ابن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما سے مروی ہے کہ نبی ﷺ نے فرمایا: ”کسی ذی روح چیز کو باندھ کر اس پر نشانہ صحیح مت کیا کرو۔“
Sayyidna Ibn Abbas ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a se marvi hai ki Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya: ”Kisi zi ruh cheez ko bandh kar us par nishana sahih mat kiya karo“.
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، عَنْ عَدِيِّ بْنِ ثَابِتٍ ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ سَعِيدَ بْنَ جُبَيْرٍ ، يُحَدِّثُ , عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، أَنَّهُ قَالَ:" لَا تَتَّخِذُوا شَيْئًا فِيهِ الرُّوحُ غَرَضًا".
