Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 26121
It is narrated on the authority of Ummul Mu'mineen Ayesha Radi Allahu Anha that the Prophet صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم said: It is not permissible for a woman who believes in Allah and the Last Day to mourn for any deceased other than her husband for more than three days.

ام المؤمنین حضرت عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا سے مروی ہے کہ نبی ﷺ نے ارشاد فرمایا جو عورت اللہ پر اور یوم آخرت پر ایمان رکھتی ہو، شوہر کے علاوہ کسی اور میت پر اس کیلئے تین دن سے سوگ منانا حلال نہیں ہے۔
Umm ul momineen Hazrat Ayesha raza Allah tala anha se marvi hai ke Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne irshad farmaya jo aurat Allah par aur Youm Aakhirat par emaan rakhti ho shohar ke ilawa kisi aur mayyat par uske liye teen din se sog manana halal nahi hai.
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الصَّمَدِ , قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ كَثِيرٍ , عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، عَنْ عُرْوَةَ , عَنْ عَائِشَةَ , قَالَتْ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " لَا يَحِلُّ لِامْرَأَةٍ تُؤْمِنُ بِاللَّهِ وَالْيَوْمِ الْآخِرِ تُحِدُّ عَلَى مَيِّتٍ فَوْقَ ثَلَاثٍ إِلَّا عَلَى زَوْجٍ" .
