Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 26940
It is narrated on the authority of Asma that once, during the time of the treaty with Quraysh, my mother came to me. At that time she was a polytheist and in need. I asked the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), "Can I maintain ties of kinship with her?" The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, "Yes, maintain ties of kinship with your mother."

حضرت اسماء سے مروی ہے کہ ایک مرتبہ میری والدہ قریش سے معاہدے کے زمانے میں آئی، اس وقت وہ مشرک اور ضرورت مند تھیں، میں نے نبی ﷺ سے پوچھا کیا میں ان کے ساتھ صلہ رحمی کرسکتی ہوں؟ نبی ﷺ نے فرمایا ہاں اپنی والدہ سے صلہ رحمی کرو۔
Hazrat Asma se marvi hai keh aik martaba meri walida Quresh se muahidy ke zamanay mein aaeen, us waqt woh mushrik aur zaroorat mand thi, maine Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) se poocha kya mein un ke saath sila rehmi karsakti hun? Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya haan apni walida se sila rehmi karo.
حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ نُمَيْرٍ ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامٌ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ أَسْمَاءَ بِنْتِ أَبِي بَكْرٍ ، قَالَتْ: قَدِمَتْ عَلَيَّ أُمِّي وَهِيَ مُشْرِكَةٌ فِي عَهْدِ قُرَيْشٍ إِذْ عَاهَدُوا، فَأَتَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، فَقُلْتُ: يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ، إِنَّ أُمِّي قَدِمَتْ وَهِيَ رَاغِبَةٌ، أَفَأَصِلُهَا؟ قَالَ: " نَعَمْ، صِلِي أُمَّكِ" .
