The Musnad of Abdullah ibn al-Abbas ibn Abd al-Muttalib (may Allah be pleased with them both)

Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 3028
It is narrated on the authority of Sayyiduna Ibn 'Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him and his father) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) met Sayyiduna Ma'iz bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) and said: "What is the truth of what has reached me concerning you? I have been informed that you committed fornication with the slave-girl of Banu Fulan?" He confessed to it four times, then the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) ordered him to be stoned to death.

سیدنا ابن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما سے مروی ہے کہ نبی ﷺ سیدنا ماعز بن مالک رضی اللہ عنہ سے ملے اور فرمایا: ”تمہارے بارے میں مجھے جو بات معلوم ہوئی ہے اس کی کیا حقیقت ہے؟ مجھے معلوم ہوا ہے کہ تم سے آل فلاں کی باندی کے ساتھ گناہ کا ارتکاب ہوگیا ہے؟“ انہوں نے اپنے متعلق چار مرتبہ اس کا اعتراف کر لیا، پھر نبی ﷺ نے انہیں رجم کرنے کا حکم دیا۔
Syedna Ibn Abbas Radi Allaho Anhuma se marvi hai keh Nabi Sallallaho Alaihe Wasallam Syedna Maaz bin Malik Radi Allaho Anhu se milay aur farmaya: ”Tumharay baray mein mujhay jo baat maloom hoi hai us ki kya haqeeqat hai? Mujhay maloom huwa hai keh tum se Aal e Firaun ki bandi ke sath gunah ka irtikaab hogaya hai?“ Unhon ne apne mutalliq chaar martaba is ka ikraar kar liya, phir Nabi Sallallaho Alaihe Wasallam ne unhen rajam karne ka hukm diya.
حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَوَانَةَ ، حَدَّثَنَا سِمَاكُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لِمَاعِزِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ:" أَحَقٌّ مَا بَلَغَنِي عَنْكَ، أَنَّكَ وَقَعْتَ عَلَى جَارِيَةِ بَنِي فُلَانٍ؟" قَالَ: فَشَهِدَ أَرْبَعَ شَهَادَاتٍ، قَالَ: فَرَجَمَهُ.
