The Musnad of Abdullah ibn al-Abbas ibn Abd al-Muttalib (may Allah be pleased with them both)

Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 3134
Imam Shabi, may Allah have mercy on him, said that a companion of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, who was passing by an isolated grave, told me that the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, offered the funeral prayer for the deceased and the people stood in rows behind the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him. I asked Imam Shabi, may Allah have mercy on him, the name of that companion, and he said: Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas, may Allah be pleased with them both.

امام شعبی رحمہ اللہ کہتے ہیں کہ ایک الگ تھلگ قبر پر نبی ﷺ کے ساتھ گزرنے والے صحابی رضی اللہ عنہ نے مجھے بتایا ہے کہ نبی ﷺ نے اس کی نماز جنازہ بڑھائی اور لوگ نبی ﷺ کے پیچھے صف بستہ کھڑے ہو گئے۔ میں نے امام شعبی رحمہ اللہ سے اس صحابی کا نام پوچھا تو انہوں نے بتایا: سیدنا ابن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما۔
Imaam Shabi rehmatullah alaih kehte hain kay aik alag thalag qabar par Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) kay sath guzarne wale sahabi raziAllahu anhu ne mujhe bataya hai kay Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne uski namaz janaza parhayi aur log Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) kay peeche saf basta kharay ho gaye. Maine Imaam Shabi rehmatullah alaih se us sahabi ka naam poocha to unhon ne bataya: Sayyidna Ibn Abbas raziAllahu anhuma.
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ سُلَيْمَانَ الشَّيْبَانِيَّ ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ الشَّعْبِيَّ ، قَالَ:" أَخْبَرَنِي مَنْ مَرَّ مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَلَى قَبْرٍ مَنْبُوذٍ، فَأَمَّهُمْ، وَصَفُّوا خَلْفَهُ". فَقُلْتُ: يَا أَبَا عَمْرٍو، مَنْ حَدَّثَكَ؟ قَالَ: ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ .
