The Musnad of Abdullah ibn al-Abbas ibn Abd al-Muttalib (may Allah be pleased with them both)

Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 3204
It is narrated on the authority of Sayyiduna Ibn 'Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "When you have stoned Jamarat al-'Aqabah, everything will become permissible for you except women." A man asked: "Will it also be permissible to apply perfume?" Sayyiduna Ibn 'Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "I have seen with my own eyes the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) applying musk perfume to his head. Is it perfume or not?"

سیدنا ابن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما سے مروی ہے کہ رسول اللہ ﷺ نے ارشاد فرمایا: ”جب تم جمرہ عقبہ کی رمی کر چکو تو عورت کے علاوہ ہر چیز تمہارے لئے حلال ہو جائے گی“، ایک آدمی نے پوچھا: کیا خوشبو لگانا بھی جائز ہو جائے گا؟ سیدنا ابن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما نے فرمایا کہ میں نے تو خود اپنی آنکھوں سے نبی ﷺ کو اپنے سر پر مسک نامی خوشبو لگاتے ہوئے دیکھا ہے، کیا وہ خوشبو ہے یا نہیں؟
Sayyidna Ibn Abbas ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a se marvi hai ki Rasulullah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne irshad farmaya: "Jab tum jumrah uqba ki rami kar chuko to aurat ke ilawa har chiz tumhare liye halal ho jayegi", ek aadmi ne poocha: kya khushbu lagana bhi jaiz ho jayega? Sayyidna Ibn Abbas ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a ne farmaya ki maine to khud apni aankhon se Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ko apne sar par musk nami khushbu lagate huye dekha hai, kya woh khushbu hai ya nahin?.
حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ وَعَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ : قَالَا: حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ ، عَنْ سَلَمَةَ بْنِ كُهَيْلٍ ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ الْعُرَنِيِّ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، قَالَ:" إِذَا رَمَيْتُمْ الْجَمْرَةَ، فَقَدْ حَلَّ لَكُمْ كُلُّ شَيْءٍ إِلَّا النِّسَاءَ". قَالَ: فقال رجلٌ: والطيب؟ قَالَ عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ: فَقَالَ لَهُ رَجُلٌ: يَا أَبَا الْعَبَّاسِ، فَقَالَ ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ: أَمَّا أَنَا" فَقَدْ رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُضَمِّخُ رَأْسَهُ بِالْمِسْكِ، أَفَطِيبٌ ذَاكَ أَمْ لَا؟".
