The Musnad of Abdullah ibn al-Abbas ibn Abd al-Muttalib (may Allah be pleased with them both)

Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 3390
It is narrated on the authority of Sayyidina Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that an angel came to Hagar (peace be upon her) and, approaching Zamzam, struck his heel on the ground, causing a spring to gush forth. She quickly took her cup and filled her waterskin. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "May Allah have mercy on her, if she had not hastened, it would have flowed (spread far and wide) until the Day of Judgment."

سیدنا ابن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما سے مروی ہے کہ ایک فرشتہ حضرت ہاجرہ علیہا السلام کے پاس آیا اور زمزم کے قریب پہنچ کر اس نے اپنی ایڑی ماری جس سے ایک چشمہ ابل پڑا، انہوں نے جلدی سے پیالے سے لے کر اپنے مشکیزے میں پانی بھرا، نبی ﷺ کا فرمان ہے: ”اللہ تعالیٰ ان پر رحم فرمائے، اگر وہ جلدی نہ کرتیں تو وہ چشمہ قیامت تک بہتا ہی رہتا (دور دور تک پھیل جاتا)۔“
Saina Ibne Abbas Raziallahu Anhuma se marvi hai keh aik farishta Hazrat Hajra Alaihassalam ke paas aya aur Zamzam ke qareeb pohanch kar usne apni eri maari jissey aik chashma ubal para, unhon ne jaldi se piyale se lekar apne mashkize mein paani bhara, Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ka farmaan hai: “Allah ta’ala un par reham farmaye, agar wo jaldi na karti to wo chashma qayamat tak behta hi rehta (door door tak phel jata).”
حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَيُّوبُ ، قَالَ: أُنْبِئْتُ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ ، قَالَ: قَالَ ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ فَجَاءَ الْمَلَكُ بِهَا، حَتَّى انْتَهَى إِلَى مَوْضِعِ زَمْزَمَ، فَضَرَبَ بِعَقِبِهِ فَفَارَتْ عَيْنًا، فَعَجِلَتْ الْإِنْسَانَةُ، فَجَعَلَتْ تَقْدَحُ فِي شَنَّتِهَا، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:" رَحِمَ اللَّهُ أُمَّ إِسْمَاعِيلَ، لَوْلَا أَنَّهَا عَجِلَتْ، لَكَانَتْ زَمْزَمُ عَيْنًا مَعِينًا".
