The Musnad of Abdullah ibn al-Abbas ibn Abd al-Muttalib (may Allah be pleased with them both)
مُسْنَدُ عَبْدِ اللّٰهِ بْنِ الْعَبَّاسِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْمُطَّلِبِ رَضِيَ اللّٰهُ عَنْهُمَا

Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 3495
It is narrated on the authority of Sayyiduna Ibn 'Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that once, the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) entered the mosque riding his camel, and behind him was Sayyiduna Usamah bin Zaid (may Allah be pleased with him). The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) asked for water to drink. We offered him Nabidh. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) drank it and gave the rest to Sayyiduna Usamah (may Allah be pleased with him) and said, "You did well and did good, keep doing it this way." This is the reason why we don't want to change it now.

سیدنا ابن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما سے مروی ہے کہ ایک مرتبہ نبی ﷺ اپنے اونٹ پر سوار مسجد میں داخل ہوئے، ان کے پیچھے سیدنا اسامہ بن زید رضی اللہ عنہ بیٹھے ہوئے تھے، نبی ﷺ نے پینے کے لئے پانی طلب کیا، ہم نے آپ کو نبیذ پلائی، نبی ﷺ نے اسے نوش فرمایا اور پس خوردہ سیدنا اسامہ رضی اللہ عنہ کو دے دیا اور فرمایا: ”تم نے اچھا کیا اور خوب کیا، اسی طرح کیا کرو“، یہی وجہ ہے کہ اب ہم اسے بدلنا نہیں چاہتے۔
Sayyida Ibn Abbas razi Allah anhuma se marvi hai ki ek martaba Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) apne unt par sawar masjid mein dakhil hue, un ke peeche Sayyiduna Usama bin Zaid razi Allah anhu baithe hue the, Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne pine ke liye pani talab kiya, hum ne aap ko nabiz pilaee, Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne use nosh farmaya aur pas khurda Sayyiduna Usama razi Allah anhu ko de diya aur farmaya: ”Tum ne achcha kiya aur khoob kiya, isi tarah kiya karo“, yahi wajah hai ki ab hum use badalna nahi chahte.
حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي عَدِيٍّ ، عَنْ حُمَيْدٍ ، عَنِ بَكْرٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، قَالَ: وَلَكِنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ دَخَلَ الْمَسْجِدَ، وَهُوَ عَلَى بَعِيرِهِ، وَخَلْفَهُ أُسَامَةُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ، فَاسْتَسْقَى فَسَقَيْنَاهُ نَبِيذًا، فَشَرِبَ ثُمَّ نَاوَلَ فَضْلَهُ أُسَامَةَ بْنَ زَيْدٍ، فَقَالَ:" قَدْ أَحْسَنْتُمْ وَأَجْمَلْتُمْ، فَكَذَلِكَ فَافْعَلُوا"، فَنَحْنُ لَا نُرِيدُ أَنْ نُغَيِّرَ ذَلِكَ.
