Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 3810
It is narrated by Abdullah bin Masood (may Allah be pleased with him) that on the night of the Jinn, I was with the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said to me, "Abdullah! Do you have any water?" I said, "No." The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) asked, "What is in this vessel?" I said, "It is alcoholic drink." The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, "Pour it on my hands." The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) performed ablution with it and said, "O Abdullah bin Masood! This is a drink as well as a purifier." Then the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) led us in prayer after we performed ablution with it.

سیدنا ابن مسعود رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ میں لیلۃ الجن کے موقع پر نبی ﷺ کے ساتھ تھا، نبی ﷺ نے مجھ سے فرمایا: ”عبداللہ! کیا تمہارے پاس پانی ہے؟“ میں نے عرض کیا کہ نہیں، نبی ﷺ نے پوچھا: ”اس برتن میں کیا ہے؟“ میں نے عرض کیا: نبیذ ہے، نبی ﷺ نے فرمایا کہ ”اسے میرے ہاتھوں پر ڈالو“، نبی ﷺ نے اس سے وضو کیا اور فرمایا: ”اے عبداللہ بن مسعود! یہ پینے کی چیز بھی ہے اور طہارت بخش بھی ہے“، پھر نبی ﷺ نے ہمیں اسی سے وضو کر کے نماز پڑھائی۔
Sayyidna Ibn Masood (رضي الله تعالى عنه) se marvi hai ki main Laylatul Jin ke mauqe par Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ke sath tha, Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne mujh se farmaya: “Abdullah! kya tumhare pass pani hai?“ main ne arz kiya ki nahin, Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne poocha: “Is bartan main kya hai?“ main ne arz kiya: Nabidh hai, Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya ki “Ise mere hathon par daalo“, Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne is se wazu kiya aur farmaya: “Aye Abdullah bin Masood! yeh pine ki cheez bhi hai aur taharat bakhsh bhi hai“, phir Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne humen isi se wazu kar ke namaz parhayi.
حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ زَكَرِيَّا ، عَنْ إِسْرَائِيلَ ، عَنْ أَبِي فَزَارَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي زَيْدٍ مَوْلَى عَمْرِو بْنِ حُرَيْثٍ، عَنْ ابْنِ مَسْعُودٍ ، قَالَ: كُنْتُ مَعَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَيْلَةَ لَقِيَ الْجِنَّ، فَقَالَ:" أَمَعَكَ مَاءٌ؟" فَقُلْتُ: لَا، فَقَالَ:" مَا هَذَا فِي الْإِدَاوَةِ؟" قُلْتُ: نَبِيذٌ، قَالَ:" أَرِنِيهَا، تَمْرَةٌ طَيِّبَةٌ، وَمَاءٌ طَهُورٌ"، فَتَوَضَّأَ مِنْهَا، ثُمَّ صَلَّى بِنَا.
