Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 4009
It is narrated on the authority of Sayyiduna Ibn Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) that on the day of the Battle of Badr, we were three men riding one camel each. In this way, Sayyiduna Abu Lubabah and Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with them both) were accompanying the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). When it was the Prophet's (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) turn to walk, these two said, "We will walk in your place (you stay mounted)." The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, "You two are not stronger than me, nor am I in need of reward more than you."

سیدنا ابن مسعود رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ غزوہ بدر کے دن ہم تین تین آدمی ایک ایک اونٹ پر سوار تھے، اس طرح سیدنا ابولبابہ اور سیدنا علی رضی اللہ عنہما نبی ﷺ کے ساتھی تھے، جب نبی ﷺ کی باری پیدل چلنے کی آئی تو یہ دونوں حضرات کہنے لگے کہ ہم آپ کی جگہ پیدل چلتے ہیں (آپ سوار رہیں)، نبی ﷺ نے فرمایا: ”تم دونوں مجھ سے زیادہ طاقتور نہیں ہو اور نہ ہی میں تم سے ثواب کے معاملے میں مستغنی ہوں۔“
Saina Ibn Masood razi Allah anhu se marvi hai ki Ghazwa Badr ke din hum teen teen aadmi ek ek oont par sawar thay, iss tarah Saina Abulbaba aur Saina Ali razi Allah anhuma Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ke saathi thay, jab Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ki baari paidal chalne ki aai to yeh donon hazrat kehne lage ki hum aap ki jaga paidal chalte hain (aap sawar rahen), Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya: ”Tum donon mujhse zyada taqatwar nahin ho aur na hi main tum se sawab ke mamle mein mustaghni hun."
حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ عِيسَى وَحَسَنُ بْنُ مُوسَى ، قَالَا: حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ عَاصِمِ بْنِ بَهْدَلَةَ ، عَنْ زِرِّ بْنِ حُبَيْشٍ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مَسْعُودٍ ، قَالَ: كُنَّا فِي غَزْوَةِ بَدْرٍ، كُلُّ ثَلَاثَةٍ مِنَّا عَلَى بَعِيرٍ، كَانَ عَلِيٌّ، وَأَبُو لُبَابَةَ زَمِيلَيْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، فَإِذَا كَانَ عُقْبَةُ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، قَالَا: ارْكَبْ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ، حَتَّى نَمْشِيَ عَنْكَ، فَيَقُولُ:" مَا أَنْتُمَا بِأَقْوَى عَلَى الْمَشْيِ مِنِّي، وَمَا أَنَا بِأَغْنَى عَنِ الْأَجْرِ مِنْكُمَا".
