Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 447
It is narrated by Usman (may Allah be pleased with him) that I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) saying that I know a word that whoever says it from the heart, believing it to be true, then the fire of Hell will be forbidden for him. Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) said to him, “Shall I tell you which word is that?” He said, “It is the word of sincerity (Ikhlas) that Allah made obligatory upon His Prophet and his Companions (may Allah be pleased with them). It is the same word of piety (Taqwa) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) repeatedly presented to his uncle Abu Talib at the time of his death, that is, the testimony of the Oneness of Allah.”

سیدنا عثمان رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ میں نے رسول اللہ ﷺ کو ایک مرتبہ فرماتے ہوئے سنا کہ میں ایک ایسا کلمہ جانتا ہوں کہ جو بندہ بھی اسے دل سے حق سمجھ کر کہے گا، اس پر جہنم کی آگ حرام ہو جائے گی، سیدنا عمر رضی اللہ عنہ نے ان سے فرمایا کہ میں آپ کو بتاؤں، وہ کلمہ کون سا ہے؟ وہ کلمہ اخلاص ہے جو اللہ نے اپنے پیغمبر اور ان کے صحابہ رضی اللہ عنہم پر لازم کیا تھا، یہ وہی کلمہ تقویٰ ہے جو نبی ﷺ نے اپنے چچا ابوطالب کے سامنے ان کی موت کے وقت بار بار پیش کیا تھا، یعنی اللہ کی وحدانیت کی گواہی۔
Sayyidna Usman (رضي الله تعالى عنه) se marvi hai ki maine Rasul Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ko ek martaba farmate huye suna ki main ek aisa kalma janta hun ki jo banda bhi ise dil se haq samajh kar kahega, us par jahannam ki aag haram ho jayegi, Sayyidna Umar (رضي الله تعالى عنه) ne un se farmaya ki main aap ko bataun, woh kalma kaun sa hai? Woh kalma ikhlas hai jo Allah ne apne paighambar aur un ke sahaba (رضي الله تعالى عنه) par lazim kiya tha, yahi woh kalma taqwa hai jo Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne apne chacha Abu Talib ke samne un ki maut ke waqt baar baar pesh kiya tha, yani Allah ki wahdaniyat ki gawahi.
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَهَّابِ الْخَفَّافُ ، حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ ، عَنْ مُسْلِمِ بْنِ يَسَارٍ ، عَنْ حُمْرَانَ بْنِ أَبَانَ ، أَنَّ عُثْمَانَ بْنَ عَفَّانَ ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، يَقُولُ:" إِنِّي لَأَعْلَمُ كَلِمَةً لَا يَقُولُهَا عَبْدٌ حَقًّا مِنْ قَلْبِهِ، إِلَّا حُرِّمَ عَلَى النَّارِ" فَقَالَ لَهُ عُمَرُ بْنُ الْخَطَّابِ : أَنَا أُحَدِّثُكَ مَا هِيَ؟ هِيَ كَلِمَةُ الْإِخْلَاصِ الَّتِي أَعَزَّ اللَّهُ تَبَارَكَ وَتَعَالَى بِهَا مُحَمَّدًا صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَأَصْحَابَهُ، وَهِيَ كَلِمَةُ التَّقْوَى الَّتِي أَلَاصَ عَلَيْهَا نَبِيُّ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَمَّهُ أَبَا طَالِبٍ عِنْدَ الْمَوْتِ: شَهَادَةُ أَنْ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ.
