The Musnad of Abdullah ibn Umar ibn al-Khattab (may Allah be pleased with them both)
مسنَد عَبدِ اللَّهِ بنِ عمَرَ بنِ الخَطَّابِ رَضِیَ اللَّه تَعَالَى عَنهمَا
Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal 4951
Narrated by Abu Hurairah (RA) that the Prophet (ﷺ) once prayed two rak'ahs in one of the two evening prayers and then gave the salam. Then he mentioned the whole hadith.

سیدنا ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ نبی ﷺ نے ایک مرتبہ شام کی دو نمازوں میں سے کسی ایک میں دو رکعتیں پڑھا کر سلام پھیر دیا پھر انہوں نے پوری حدیث ذکر کی۔
Sayyidina Abu Hurairah (رضي الله تعالى عنه) se marvi hai ki Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne ek martaba sham ki do namaazon mein se kisi ek mein do rakat padh kar salam pher diya phir unhon ne puri hadees zikar ki.
قال عبد الله بن أحمد: قَالَ أَبِي: وَحَدَّثَنَا قَبْلَهُ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامٌ ، وَابْنُ عَوْنٍ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، قَالَ: صَلَّى بِنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِحْدَى صَلاتَيْ الْعَشِيِّ رَكْعَتَيْنِ، ثُمَّ سَلَّمَ، فَذَكَرَ الْحَدِيثَ، فَلْيُجِبْ.
